Chunhui Na is the founder of YingZaiLooShang, an educational company in Beijing that provides training and assistance for people who are taking post-graduate entrance examination and people who are applying for international studies. Since the start of the company in 2008, the company has helped more than 20,000 students.   In 2008, inspired by a Chinese TV show that was about start-up business, Chunhui quitted her full-time job at an educational institute and started her own educational business together with two of her friends in Beijing. the team believed they could make a breakthrough in the niche market of helping people for their post-graduate entrance examination. However, the reality was always far more complicated than what people had expected. As a young service company, it was not easy to satisfy every student. In the age of internet, any negative reviews could potentially damage a company’s reputation. In addition, handling defamations from competitors also took away a considerable amount of time and energy from Chunhui. In the first five years, Chunhui gave herself only 5 hours of sleep every day and she rarely took holidays. In 2014, as the company became stable with steady growth in revenue, Chunhui became a mother and she wanted to spend more time with her family and her baby boy. #china🇨🇳

Chunhui Na started an continuing-education company targeting young adults with two of her friends in Beijing in 2008. It is inevitable to have some disagreement among the three founders during the journey. In early 2010s, motived by a strong demand for IT personnel in the job market, Chunhui became interested in starting an IT training program targeting college students. One advantage the company had was the ability to get outsourced IT projects from some large companies. However, one of the founders expressed some concerns. It was uncertain that if college students were able to handle real life full-scale projects. At the end, the three founders decided to give a try and together they invested about $600,000 dollars. However, the project did not go as what Chunhui had expected. There were a lot of complexities and uncertainties involved in the IT projects the company could get for its students to work on. Some of the projects were too complicated for students, some were delayed by the sponsor company. There were frustrations and confusion among students. In less than a year, the company decided to close the program.   It has been more than a decade since the start of the company in 2008. The company is still operating like a big family. Many of the employees have been with the company since the start. Every year, the company takes all employees to a 2-week foreign trip together, all sponsored by the company. Looking ahead, Chunhui and her partners are interested in expanding their business oversea and are open to external investments from angel investors to fund their business expansion. #china🇨🇳

Tiantian Zhang is the founder of a cosmetics brand Six&Six. She started the company in 2017 with a wash lotion that was designed for sensitive intimate area. The product has six different plant essences and sixteen different probiotic lactobacillus that protect and nourish the intimate area. In addition, it is alcohol-free and does not contain mineral oil or artificial color additives. By 2020, the company had had ten product lines with an annual sale of over 30,000 units. And its products had reached to more than 400 retail stores in Japan.     Tiantian grew up in an average family in a northern city in China. In 2005, to earn money for college, she took two part-time jobs, one during the day after school and the other one at night that finished at midnight. The living costs in the city were very expensive. To save money and time, she often skipped meals or replaced with a slice of bread. Later on, Tiantian discovered a business opportunity of selling cigars to high-end business professionals. But it required an initial investment that was out of her affordability. When she spoke with her mother about the business venture, she got full supports from her mother with some of her life saving. When Tiantian was holding the bank cheque from her mother, she was so worried that she might lose the money in her first business venture. Fortunately, the business turned out to be a very lucrative one. With the money she earned, she later started a cigar bar and a wine bar with some friends, which also brought her a good fortune. @women_in_venture #entrepreneurlifestyle #entrepreneurmindset #entrepreneurmotivation #entrepreneurgoals #womanentrepreneur #womanentrepreneur #femalefounders #moneymindset #boss #bosslady #network #lifestyleblog #millionairemindset #market #marketingtips #wealthbuilding #digitalmarketing #womenentreprenuers #asianbabe #china🇨🇳

In later 2017, Tiantian Zhang started a cosmetics business, her third business adventure. At the time, there were a lot of competitions in the industry. Many people did not believe there would be any opportunity that was lucrative enough for the potential risk. However, with a strong business acumen, Tiantian realized there would be a business potential in the market of wash lotion for women’s intimate area. Tiantian spent more than a year on developing her first product. Her strong business acumen, insightful market knowledge, and commitment to product perfection had firmly convinced the CEO of Chelate Japan, a Japanese cosmetic company, that she would be a strong and credible partner. The successful partnership enabled Tiantian to develop new products with a high standard and push to the market quickly. In early 2020, her first product went to the market in Japan, with a great market response. Today, Tiantian’s products have reached to more than 400 retail stores in Japan. @women_in_venture #entrepreneurs #entrepreneurlife #success #hustle #businesswoman #business #femaleentrepreneurs #femaleownedbusiness #makeup #bodylotion #womenempoweringwomen #womanownedbusiness #womanpower #womanownedbusiness #womanempowerment #lifestyle #marketing #marketingdigital #wealth #networkmarketing #socialmediamarketing #japan #asianbabe #fashion #china🇨🇳

Shengnan Li is the regional director of a large insurance company in China. She is also a long-time volunteer at a non-profit organization Yong Ning Education Support that helps children in poor families with their education. The volunteering experience enables Shengnan to learn the hardships that many unfortunate students and their families are experiencing with, which in turn makes her stronger while facing difficulties in her own journey.   In May 2013, Shengnan quitted her full-time job with a decent salary and became a volunteer in Yun Nan province for a full year. In those 12 months, Shengnan had visited about two hundred students, helping them find the right sponsors. Many students that Shengnan had helped were from very poor villages that located at least 1,000 meters above sea level in the mountains. It normally took these students more than half a day to get to school on walk. When Shengnan started with the program, she was paired with another woman as a team. They would first take transportation to get to small towns and then walk at least 6 hours in mountain trails to get to students’ home. They sometimes got stuck in the mountains for a full day because of rain or snow. Another challenge Shengnan had to face was that many mountain trails and small mountain villages were not marked on any map available. And there was no GPS or phone signal. Most times, Shengnan was able to find those villages by guidance from strangers she met in the mountain trails. There were a few times that Shengnan and her colleague lost direction in the mountains and they waited for hours till someone showed up and led them back to the right direction.  In addition, a majority of people in those mountain villages were not able to speak or understand Mandarin. If lucky, there might be one person who understood Mandarin available for being a translator when Shengnan and her colleague arrived at the village. Otherwise, they would have to wait for a couple of days till someone became available. #womeninspiringwomen #womenempowerment #womeninbusiness #women #womenstyle #supportchildren #education #educationmatters #children #lifeisgood #society #socialmedia #socialworker #money

In 2013, Shengnan quitted her full-time job and volunteered in Yun Nan province to support children’s education. Shengnan still vividly remembers a little girl who cried for help. The girl lived with her parents and little brother in a small mountain village with only about 10 families. In 2013 the father suffered a work-related injury which prevented him from doing any heavy-lifting house work. Even though there were supports from the social welfare and injury compensations from the father’s formal employer, it was not enough to cover both children’s education. The parents had spoken with the girl for several times, hoping she would withdraw from school and help her mother with farm work. When Shengnan and her colleague arrived at their house, the girl was very excited to see them. When Shengnan and her colleague were ready to leave after completing the registration form, the girl walked with them to the village entry. At the entry, the girl started to cry and told Shangnan how much she wanted to continue her education and move her family to a city for a better life. She was also afraid. She was afraid of not being able to take care her parents anymore when she and her brother both in the college. Shengnan was deeply affected by the girl’s strong will and connections with her family and made a promise with the girl to help with her education.    The experience of helping those students who had difficulties of continuing their education has made Shengnan more optimistic and braver while facing hardships in her life. In 2014 when Shengnan learned her mother got a mid-stage lung cancer, she felt her entire world was collapsing. It was the smiles of those students whom she had helped brought her back. It is a miracle that the medical treatment is successful and her mother is almost back to her normal life. Don’t give up and be optimistic. This is the lesson she has taught herself and her mother while battling with cancer and this is the lesson she would like to share. #womeninbusiness #women #womensupportingwomen #womeninspiringwomen #education #supportchildren #womenempowerment #life #lifeisbeautiful #lifelessons #cancer #china #chinesewomen #travel #money #fashi

Yani Wei grew up in a small town in Guangxi province in China. When Yani was five-year-old, she lived with her grandmother for three years in a small mountain village with just ten families.Yani’s parents visited them only two or three times a year when it was long holidays. Those three years were very hard for a little girl who was not able to see her parents very often. She often stood at the top of a hill and looked over the main road for hours, hoping a bus with her parents would come. In 2001, Yani became a village teacher after graduating from a teaching college, while most of her classmates stayed at cities. The school where Yani stayed was in a very poor condition, and there were only three teachers with about twenty students in total. Yani felt very proud as she believed she was helping her students for a better future. However, the reality slowly eroded away her patience and enthusiasm. Even though students did not need to pay for tuitions, they still had to pay for textbooks. The costs of textbooks were not a small amount for families that solely relied on farming. In addition, many of the students’ parents spent their whole life on farming in the same village; therefore, they did not believe higher education would help them much with farming. As soon as students reached the 3rd grade, Yani started to see her students skipping classes to help their families with farm work. When students grew older, majority of students would withdraw from school and never return. It was very hard for a teacher to see her students dropping out of school and not able to help. At the end, Yani decided to quit as a teacher and move to a large city in Guangdong province. When she left the school, there were only two students left. Yani is now a successful entrepreneur. Like many women entrepreneurs, Yani had made great sacrifices. She still remembered what her daughter once said to her: “I wish for a happy and joyful mom, not a busy.” It is not easy for other people to comprehend the great responsibity and pressure Yani has taken on her shoulder. #womenentrepreneurs #womeninbusiness #womenentrepreneurship #femaleentrepreneur #femaleempowerment #chinesewomen

Yani Wei is the founder of Armin Biotech, a company that sells a variety of patented medical and skin-care products including medical ointment and patches, handmade soaps, face moisturizers, and serums. Yani started the company in 2011. In 2021, the company now has more than three hundred franchised and company-owned retail stores in many cities in China. It also sells products to Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore. In 2011, Yani started an online cosmetics business adventure with a couple of friends. In 2013, her partners decided to pull out investments when they could not reach an agreement on a critical business decision. Many employees left the company when it started to delay salary payments. At the end, Yani was left with a total debt of 300,000 dollars and an office filled with unsold products. To pay off debts, Yani decided to sell her apartment. She also wanted to take business courses and visit companies in the industry in other cities, which might take a couple of months. When she shared the thoughts with her husband, she got a strong objection, after all she was a mother of two small children. But Yani was a strong woman and she knew the business would die if she did not bring in any new ideas or professional management skills. Seven years later, she still felt the pain when her daughters held onto her legs and asked her not to leave. She cried through the entire trip to the airport. In June 2014, Yani started a new product brand called Armin Diary with a patented Lithospermum formula. In 2015, Yani added another new product line of handmade Lithospermum soaps, which became extremely popular as well. In 2016, the company’s Lithospermum products were selected by the government as one of products that were to be presented to foreign officials as gifts. By the year of 2020, Yani had more than three hundred stores, both franchised and company-owned, in many cities across China, and her business lines spanned into multiple areas. #womeninbusiness #womenentrepreneurs #womenentrepreneurship #femaleentrepreneur #handmadesoap #femaleempowerment #cosmetics

Cuixia Liu is the founder of a start-up company in China that processes bird nest into edible food products. In 2012, Cuixia started food plant that processed bird nests into edible food products. Today, she is managing a 20-employee food plant that sells to consumers in many cities in China. Over the years, Cuixia has experienced quite a few dramatical events and the most memorable of all was a kidnap in 2016.   In 2016, Cuixia and one of her employees flew to Malaysia to visit a small bird-nest farm located in small mountain village, before making a purchase decision. On the 2nd day after they arrived at the farm the farm owner asked them to pay about $3,300 in cash immediately. After learning Cuixia did not carry enough cash, the farm owner locked up the two women in a room and stated they could only leave if they paid the money. Cuixia called her husband in China. When she heard her husband’s voice on the other end, her tears started to drip out. Cuixia did not want to scare her two daughters who were next to her husband. She calmed her husband and asked him to call the Chinese Embassy.  It was the hardest goodbye for her to say to her husband on the phone. Fortunately, an old-aged woman unlocked the door and let Cuixia and her employee go the next day when the farm owner was away. And with the help of a local friend, Cuixia and her employee escaped to Malacca. The two women took an early plane to Kuala Lumpur and then another flight back to China. When Cuixia saw her husband and her two daughters at the airport in her home city, she ran to them and gave her husband a long hug and was thankful that she was able to see her husband and her lovely daughters again. Cuixia still had to visit bird-nest farms Malaysia personally after what had happened. She said: “it is inevitable to confront difficulties and issues, and sometimes even dangers. I have twenty-plus employees who look up to me to keep this business going and they all have families. As the owner of the business, I have to be responsible." #womenentrepreneurs #business #businesswomen #femaleentrepreneur #womeninbusiness #travel #startup #startupbusiness #businessowner #bosslady #inspiration
