MY YOGA JOURNEY : Through back my asana practice and I found the pictures of 8yrs ago of me (It’s so rare photo to me) and step by step of my progress.
The 2012 photo was my first time of the one leg lifting in forearm wheel. I was entered forearm wheel but I felt super hard to lifting my leg. At that time I was practice 4-5times yoga at the studio or home. I don’t know how you feel, But I never think my progress is fast.
Some of you know that I started yoga around 2006, and most of my practice was very stick on basic poses for a long time. I don’t know this was helped but I do believe my long time basic pose practice helped me a lot.
From the strong base we can build other things.
So you don’t need to rush. Cause I know you can do if you keep going.
and from 2018 I don’t much feel any progress or might be my progress is gone but instead I found more consciousness in my practice. Now I try to get out of frame and moving my body more freely and this makes me happy. Non attachment, contentment.
Asteya, Santosha 🙏🏼
How about you? Are you rush? or you enjoy your steps?
(one big change in here is How I entering the pose. Since2015 I can enter from pinchamayurasana. Probably this is biggest progress.)
Happy Friday from the three sissys of the house! I got an ear infection and have been staying home this week but these ladies have been keeping me company.⠀
Not a day goes by that I don’t feel forever thankful to have them. It teaches me how to be a better human everyday ❤️⠀
I have slowly become such a morning person in the last year or two and it’s so fun because your morning pretty much gets to be all about you, whether that time lasts for ten minutes or two hours. I don’t know about you but the way I spend my morning dictates how the rest of my day will be!
Here are a few of my favorite ways to start the day off right, even if you only get a few minutes to yourself:
☀️ Drink water
☀️ Gratitude journal
☀️ Wear something you feel good in
☀️ Morning walk
☀️ No emails or scrolling until you’ve been up for an hour
☀️ Smile at yourself in the mirror!
I swear these things make all the difference!! I am a happier, more mindful, and more successful person when I start each day with a few or all of these little practices 🦋 Try them out and see how it effects the rest of your day, then let me know how it went ✨
