There is no reason that medical students should not have a job at the end of their schooling in a country that has a physician shortage. What happens to the people who don’t get an offer during SOAP? They don’t have a job. They wait. They apply again next year. There is no reason that very capable doctors do not practice in the specialty of their choice because this country does not have enough programs to train them. It is disappointing that so many patients do not have access to a doctor and there are many eager doctors who are ready to treat these patients but cannot because they haven’t gone through residency. Open more residency programs. There are more than enough seasoned doctors who are eager to mentor and train. We need funding for these residency programs. At the bare minimum, we should not have wasted talent in the form of doctors sitting around at home while the people of this country are desparate to find heatlhcare. We need to invest more into the quality of heatlhcare being delivered in this country. We need to invest more into training programs of young doctors. We need to find a way to help doctors who don’t find residency assimilate into the heatlhcare system in a way that they can help patients and continue to gain experience. Physicians are underpaid, overworked. The past year has reminded us how little they are valued. Pour fêter l'arrivée de la dernière extension en date, nous avons commencé un tournoi de Unmatched avec les grands ce weekend. Résultats de la première journée : Après avoir éliminé assez rapidement Merlin, l'Homme Invisible s'est finalement fait attraper par le Roi Arthur et ne s'en est jamais remis. Dans la deuxième rencontre, Mr Hyde et Dr Jekyll se sont faits coincer par Bigfoot et le Jackalope dans la forêt... La t'naille quoi !
