The first three installments of the "Jason Bourne" series on steelbook 🔥💥👊
I just got these in the mail, and I'll definitely be reviewing each one soon. I love this trilogy; they're some of my favorite action flicks I've seen to date. Matt Damon is badass, and the action is so well choreographed! I look forward to revisiting and talking about these in the future 🤘

The next film in my #JasonBourne vs. Jack Ryan event!
Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon return for the "final" (but not really when there's money to be made) entry in the 𝘉𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦 franchise.
It's my personal favourite of the series by the slimmest of margins. Greengrass puts layer upon layer of story in play, all the while balancing the need to deliver frenetic action scenes with the audience's demands for answers to questions we've had since the first film.
He achieves all of this whilst maintaining a breakneck pace. It's frenetic and intense, but his reliance on shaky cam once again doesn't do any favours. There's so much to like about the film, but there's no need to have action devolve into camera work that's difficult to follow.
Returning cast members are excellent, as they should be by this point in the series. The addition of Scott Glenn to the cast is a welcome one. He's a favourite of mine, always elevating scenes he's in.
The conclusion is a satisfying end to Bourne's journey, tying up all story threads successfully. That's where it should have stayed, but the almighty dollar said otherwise.

• An upscaled 4K transfer
• The master used is in the best condition of the original trilogy
• Colours are muted, but the HDR helps
• Detail is moderately better than the BD
• Flawless lossless DTS-X audio
• Dialogue reproduction is excellent
• Action is dynamic, surrounds are well utilised, and the entire mix is aggressive
• John Powell's score is engaging
