Sitting here with my head in my hands because I screwed up exactly 3 orders today.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I am not super woman. This shit is not easy especially when it’s run by two people who also have full time jobs and a family in addition to running this business which has honestly taken on a life of its own.
We appreciate all of our customers. We truly do. And most days we make extra trays so if something falls through the cracks in the ordering process there is a tray there to back it up. But sometimes we don’t. And it sucks.
Because sometimes people are not forgiving and I get it. We disappointed you. But trust me when I say that we will always do everything in our power to get you those buns. Sometimes it’s us. Sometimes it’s you. And that’s fucking life. We are all human and deserve some grace. These are cinnamon buns not solving World Hunger (although maybe one day?!)
In addition to that when we say that it’s necessary, no, vital to support small businesses we mean it. Not to sound all pitiful and shit but Mike and I have had a hard year. While the bun thing is fun, it definitely doesn’t bring us piles of riches lol.
Our only car (the Gold Jeep) had to have major repairs on it last month. Ate up 3K of our savings. And when I tell you we had to suck up every deep breath we had to figure out how Christmas was going to work for our family and for Mav, who finally is starting to understand the magic of Christmas, it was just not a fun time.
This ⬆️ is why they say that when you support small businesses your money literally goes to ballet lessons, a new bike, actual food for a family. It’s the truth. I wanted you guys to know that. Blessings to all of you this holiday season. #mtb
If you’re a local you know the legend Vlad. If you’re not, you may not know I have a dad named Vlad who makes custom jeans, aprons, and small leather goods. He recently closed his iconic store here in Asbury Park and moved his sewing studio to his house, and we are now carrying his aprons and these impeccably-made leather wallets. Each has a snap closure on one side and a pocket on the other, is made from scrap leather, and wears beautifully over time. Check stories for photo proof, and DM to order.
I just realised I never shared this gorgeous window display by the lovely @skybristol that I visited one cold evening recently! One of my favourite stockists, with a beautiful shop/picture framers in Bristol! Definitely worth a visit, even for the window displays alone 💫
Any small galleries, shops or cafes looking to stock prints please let me know! Always on the look out for new stockists, especially when they look so cute from the curb ⭐️
Speaking of prints, last recommended UK order dates for any Christmas present prints is going to be Saturday 18th December, to post out on Monday 20th 💌
