Few rounds of pads and sparring this morning at open mat.
If theirs something I’d say to people looking to improve their happiness, well being and mental health related to Muay Thai and martial arts in general- That doesn’t relate to the good feeling exercise gives, the confidence it can give you and the fact that the sport is a really fun way to challenge yourself and learn…
Is the community aspect of it. Muay Thai is an escape for so many people. An escape from the dangerous and destructive habits in their life. A place where people can go and feel a sense of belonging. A positive environment where people can go and gain a sense of self esteem and pride. A place where people are getting together to better themselves. A place where you can learn and share knowledge. A place where the people in the gym look out for each other, push each other. It’s a place where people who may have went through set backs, hard times, down times and sadness in their life can go to and use to bring themselves back to a good place. A sort of community to attach themselves to that they can find joy in and focus their energy on. A place full of raw, real, and humble people. A place people can look forward to going everyday.
If you’ve been thinking about starting, go for it. If you haven’t thought at all, think. If you already go, hopefully you can appreciate this message. And if you already train but your falling away, maby slowly going back to your destructive habits, hopefully this will give you motivation and bring you back to the beautiful sport and one of the most positive and life changing environments their is.

N mind, if your buying any Yokkoa gear in future. Use code “TSL10” at checkout and you’ll get a 10% discount code. The gloves have been great so far, breaking in nicely, nice feeling on the pads and on the bag and tbh I just think their cool as fuck!
