It really is a unique spectacle to see 100-150 balloons flying over the magnificent landscapes of Cappadocia.
However not all flights are equal! Some hot-air balloons simply climb very high and then descend, while others fly low into the valleys, getting very close to the fairy chimneys (such as the “Love Valley” or the “Rose Valley”). As far as I know, it depends on the pilot experience, but when you choose an agency, ask them if you can fly inside the valleys. It's really unforgettable experience!
I personally flew with @royalballoon so the photos you see are from the flight I took with them.

❓Did you know that to make it through winter, trees have two very different strategies? I’ve talked at length in my previous posts of the process used by deciduous trees that drop their leaves for self-preservation, but what about evergreen conifers (like spruce, cedar, fir, or pine) that don’t drop their leaves come autumn? Evergreen trees first came from cold climates (though you can find many in warm tropical rainforests and deserts too), and as such their “leaves” are adapted to the cold. These leaves are actually very strong and rolled up tight, like long, thin needles, which are coated with a waxy substance called ‘cutin’ that helps to trap moisture within.
To ensure that the needles are not damaged by freezing during winter, water within their cells is mixed with sugar to lower its freezing point. On top of that, evergreen trees produce a special protein that acts like antifreeze to further protect the tree from the cold winter. This system works so well that evergreen needles can stay on the trees through several winters. They fall off only due to age and are quickly replaced by new needles, and never fall off all at once (in a healthy tree).
By retaining their leaves (needles), evergreen trees also retain their nutrients, which allows them to survive in extreme environments, like high-mountain soils that may have little of the required important nutrients.
