Both Drue and I knew at a very young age that we wanted to adopt. Adoption has been key in building of Drues family and we couldn’t imagine our family as complete today if we had not adopted our daughter. While some children are able to find permanent living homes… every year, more than 20,000 youth age out of foster care with no permanent family and no safety net. I do know the impression to adopt or foster isn’t there for everyone (and that okay), There are so many different ways to help these children! During #NationalFosterCareMonth , @dtfa is partnering with @HOMAGE to raise awareness of its mission and the urgent need for #FosterCareAdoption with their #LoveMakesAFamily t-shirt. Friday roundup! 👀✨ We got back from our Honeymoon in Puerto Rico late Sunday night and we’ve been trying to get back into the swing of things this week. It hasn’t been easy 😂 but is it ever after vacation?!? Some highlights of this past week include👇🏼 - Cassie started the One Room Challenge this week and will doing a huge flip to our family room 🎨 - it looks like spring is finally here which means all the planting for my edible garden! Heading to the nursery today to pick up blueberry bushes for something new this year 😍 - We are anxiously awaiting for the rest of our porch furniture to ship so we can complete that flip and enjoy the nice weather ☀️ - Our tribe of animals has been SO happy we are back home and have been snuggling us like there’s no tomorrow 🐈 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛ 🐕 - Also we finally watched In The Heights and it was SO GOOD!!!
