Serving the community ❤️
Meet Luam Wersom, owner of @mojito.seattle in Seattle.
When Mojito opened in 2000, Luam began working at the Latin American and Cuban restaurant as a dishwasher. Twenty one years later, he has been the sole owner since 2017.
Luam was born in Ethiopia to Eritrean parents, and came to the U.S. by way of Greece as a refugee.
Mojito is known for its authentic menu, and Luam takes pride in his experience over the years learning to prep and cook a variety of dishes that celebrate the flavors of Latin America.
Beyond the food that he serves, Luam is dedicated to supporting members of the community in need, including more than one hundred low income seniors for whom he provides free meals weekly.
Pro tip: Order the Vaca Frita and be sure to express your appreciation to Luam and his team for all that they do to make Seattle better.
