Today was HIS DAY ONE!
After watching me commit to myself every single day for 1.5 years, he finally decided it was his turn.
He went downstairs to our gym and pressed play on one of my absolute favourite programs. He came up 30 mins later looking sweaty, super happy and already googling small additions we can buy for OUR home gym.
I’ve learned a couple things today:
1. People will get there in their own due time. Fitness is not something that can be forced or you won’t stick with it. You have to truly FEEL ready for a change at your very core.
2. DON’T GIVE UP! If you’re on this journey already, you have no idea who you’re inspiring just by showing up. You never know how long someone is going to watch you before they decide they can do it too! So stay the course. For yourself and the people you love.
So proud of my guy for deciding he’s ready.
Who’s next???? 👊
As you know, I’ve been focusing on my health and trying to feel my best after the summer holidays! Work is manic at the moment and I love the feeling of being able to juggle a thousand balls with an abundance of inner calm and all that inner good stuff!
I’m most definitely an advocate of if you want to look good you have to feel good - from the inside out; so I’ve been looking at what I can do to release those happy hormones we all have inside us!
I’ve been looking at what chemicals do what for us and how we can release them: dopamine, oxytocin, endorphin and serotonin!
🏆Dopamine is known as the reward chemical and makes us feel good when we’ve achieved a goal or taken care of ourselves for example.
♥️Oxytocin is the love hormone! We release this when we are with loved ones, have physical touch such as massage - even when we pet animals!
🎧Endorphins are known as the pain killer and can be released when we exercise or listen to music..
🌲Finally, serotonin is our mood stabiliser. Simply being in nature can help release this in us.
So this weekend, I plan on eating good food, spending time with the family in nature whilst hopefully having lots of laughs! By Monday, I should be fit to burst with happiness! 🤣🤣
