Sushi Go! is a cute drafting game where your aim is to gather sets of sushi that are worth points.
Each player starts with a number of cards. On each turn, they pick 1 card & pass the rest to the next player. This repeats until all cards have been taken.
Some sushi require you to have 2 or 3 of the same type to get points, some accumulate points the more you have, & some only give points if you're the one with the most of that type in the round.
At the end of 3 rounds, the player with the fewest pudding cards loses points, & the one with the most gains points. Most points in total wins.

I love Sushi Go!. It's easy to teach to new players as all the information needed during play is on the cards, a game doesn't take very long & can easily be slottet in between longer games, & have I mentioned it's really super cute?
The egg nigiri card has my favourite art, both because it looks like a little cat, & because it's one of my favourite types of sushi to eat.
For gaining points, I usually favour the sashimi, where you get 10 points if you collect 3. My partner on the other hand really likes stacking dumplings, where the 1st one gives you 1 point but if you get to 5, that's 15 points in total.
I like that even in such a simple game that relies a lot on what cards are available each round, people will develop favourite strategies.
Of course it's also possible to block other players' strategies by fx taking the 3rd sashimi, but the rounds are so short you risk sabotaging your own points too.
It's a very friendly, chill game.

Sushi Go! is ideal as a palate cleanser between more intense games, as well as for times when you want to play something satisfying that doesn't take very long.
