Tapestry: Arts & Architecture is a brilliant expansion.
I like it with expansions, when the original games core essence remains, but I do want something significant to change, not just more stuff.
This expansion has more stuff, but it also adds a fifth track to advance along which not only offers new benefits, but an entirely different strategy and feel to the game which I really enjoyed.
This needs a few more plays before I review this, and with different player counts, but today in a two it was great fun, despite my 15 point defeat to Jacob(8)!
He worked out at the end that I had advanced a lot more on the tracks than him, but he had been a lot more efficient with point making options as he had used just 42 resources to advance on the tracks and I had used 59. Interesting to see that dispite advancing more and generating more resources he still won by a long way.
We both completed one track and got to stage four on Exploration and stage three on Technology, but I was two ahead on Military and five ahead on the track he completed compared to his position on the one I completed.
How do you play Tapestry?
Have you tried either of the two expansions yet?

Desert, desert never changes… welcome to Waste Knights folks a post apo adventure game set in Australia! I did a solo scenario and once again had a blast. I love how you can take different paths while playing each scenario. And whatever path you take I have this Fallout images right in front of my eyes. And the story… I find it to be very good, engaging, and credible which is rarely a case for me when it comes to board games! Also storybook for scenarios is really big, this particular one had over 40 pages of script😅
This game can be punishing as I failed to beat the final boss of the scenario and that’s it, game over BUT it’s rewarding at the same time ‘cause I didn't feel like wasting time playing it and failing at all!
Ark Nova, Baby! I love this game. Growing up with Rollercoaster and Zoo Tycoon on my computer, this game totally hit me on first play. Wasn’t quite sure when I first saw the artwork but once you‘ve played it, it all fits.
You’re slowly building up your Zoo, try to make it more attractive by adding more animals to it and at one point direct the focus on getting wildlife conservation points to trigger the end game.
Yes it will take some time to play it, especially on your first few plays, but you feel so involved, that you won’t even notice how the time flies.
I totally see this game entering my Top 24 next year! 🥰
#gorinto#boardgameaddict#boardgames#boardgame#brettspiel#brettspiele#legespiel#abstraktesspiel
