As some of you may know, I always try to bring these back in the month of may because may is mental health awareness month! It’s encouraging to see increasing conversations around mental health in society but we need to continue to break the shame of it and encourage people who are hurting to receive support. My heart is to see greater conversations about mental health in minority groups as well where it is often a taboo subject. Spread awareness and know that if you’re needing help, it’s okay to ask for it! ❤️

Every once in awhile I pause and grieve the fact that pursuing justice has become synonymous with "doing the work" & "justice work". I know there's some truth to the language, but so often it's reduced to only that.
Be careful. So many of us working ourselves to the bone to prove our dignity, when really justice for us might look like lying down. Also, so many people "doing the work" when really they need to pause, rest, and be confronted with their own interior worlds.

A truly beautiful starting point for a really wonderful walk from Port Isaac to Port Quin, heading west. It is so easy to wonder round this gorgeous village and picture yourself part of the cast in Port Wenn 😊
Credit to @port.isaac for sharing this inviting view 😍

A Cardiologist’s Advice: Emotional Intelligence Can Protect Your Heart | Jonathan Fisher @mindfulmagazine
“All emotions set off a chain reaction of electrical and chemical signals from the brain, which travel throughout the body along the autonomic nervous system (ANS). Our organs are all programmed to receive these physical signals and have receptors covering their surfaces. This is why a single emotion like stress can trigger signals that result in inflammation and blood platelet activation (tendency toward blood clots), and cause our cells to age more rapidly.
Emotions also affect the function of the brain itself, influencing our ability to focus, our patterns of thought, our levels of energy/motivation, our ability to sleep, and even our appetite.”

But every flower that grew I just deadheaded.
Which yielded 105 calendula plants
The yarrow grows like my beard,
It's out of control
Early July I should have bouquets
Come and join this unique experience at Hum Studio in Dee Why at 4:30PM for a two hours SCI-MAA Level 1 Ceremonial Dance accompanied by self-awereness tools and a Tea Ceremony.
In this coming and special workshop, Sabine founder of SCI-MAA will be introducing you to technics to connect to your full power to heal. A power that has always been within you.
SCI-MAA guided ceremonial dance is a mind-body, energy therapy that uses mandalas, music, and dance to guide you to be aware of your thought patterns, to connect to the present, and to let it go while working with the energy fields within and surrounding you.
SCI-MAA's ceremony dance space structure is based on a sacred geometry in which the healers are located at different spaces around the guide, located at the center of the sacred geometry.
The dancers are called "healers" because they self-heal and heal others by working on themselves and others, thru guidance to feel better and therefore connect better to others.
While dancing, the "healers" practice actively about :
1)"Disconnecting" from the unnecessary pattern of thoughts thru awareness,
2) "Connecting" to the present and to the surrounding , and
3)"Letting go" of any pattern of thoughts that are not necessary anymore.
SCI-MAA guiding dance ceremony is built on 3 levels of practice:
• Level 1 : Introduction to SCI-MAA and its basics.
• Level 2: Development of the basics and the use of the space ( Healers who attended Level 1).
• Level 3: Complete Guiding dance ceremony.

To be truly alive as a Divine Goddess
in human form
is to LIVE
and never go a day
not be AMAZED by nature.
The tree outside your window.
The grass in your backyard.
Nature should remind you that there is so much new life for you to explore.
There are so many new places around the world for you to experience.
There is so much newness for you to
taste, touch, and smell.
You should never feel trapped or confined in one experience of reality.
Nature should be a constant daily reminder that everything changes and the possibilities for your life are limitless.
