Willy Monteiro Duarte was a 21 year old italian kid from Cape Verde.
He died after a violent fight killed by the violence of kicks and punches of a bunch of boys because he was defending a friend.
I won't add anything else ... except my immense pain for this atrocious episode of violence and I would say racism as well.
As a citizen of this world I demand justice that will never pay off a man's young life anyway ....
16 Days of Activism raises awareness about domestic violence against women. It is extremely important to rightfully educate the female population regarding their rights and what is not acceptable. Being active on social media platforms are a couple of the first steps to create awareness of women-based issues. Through education we can continue to spread awareness about human rights and advocacy.

Day 10 December 4: Awareness
Creating awareness can range from a quick, cost-effective chalk message on a walkway, lawn-sign, bumper sticker or sign in your car/home window or simply sharing social media posts.
Don't forget you can also create awareness for this worldwide campaign by wearing orange, visiting the begging bear at the University of Guelph or Guelph market square sometime during the 16 Days of Activism and posting a selfie with a pledge for saying NO to violence against women and girls. Make sure to tag @ZontaGuelph and @TheCityofGuelph , so we can see and share your support. Find what works best for you!
December 3rd is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (Day 9 of 16 Days of Activism). Since the pandemic, pre-existing inequalities have been heightened, revealing the injustices and discrimination against certain individuals and populations. Improvement in the area of disability inclusion is imperative to give every individual equal opportunity and to empower and promote socio-economic growth.
This year, we are focusing on the challenges, barriers, and opportunities for people who live with disabilities. It is important to recognize that people with disabilities are some of the most affected groups amidst the pandemic. Through education, advocacy, discussion and action, we can support people with disabilities and help them reduce, or even overcome, the barriers that they are facing during these difficult and unprecedented times.
