I DID IT. I've been wanting to climb this mountain since first laying eyes on it. And I finally did it. A week before leaving! I can leave feeling SO accomplished.
My total hike was just under 15 miles with over 2600ft in elevation gain.
I did this alone, driving there I almost wanted to turn around when I saw how much snow and ice was on thr ground before even getting. Thinking.. well fuck if I fall or get hurt... IM ALONE.
But I sat in the car and thought "you've been wanting to do this for too long to turn around, FUCKING GO."
SO I WENT. And wow... I can't thank myself enough for that pep talk because DAAAAAMNN. This hike was more then worth it.
I saw views I never thought I could, views I still dont believe I saw.
I'm still taking it all in.
I had this mountain to MYSELF. No one up there. SOLITUDE. Pure bliss.
Not only did I get the best hike and mountain views, I gained a whole lot of confidence in myself. This to me, was a huge feat.
I cant even count the amount of snowy mountain peaks I saw in the distance. I still cant believe my eyes AHHHHHHHHH FUCK YES.
If you read this whole thing, THANK YOU for sharing this moment with me!🧡
