「源光庵(Genkou-an Temple)」

市街地の喧騒から離れた鷹峯にある源光庵は、本堂にある「悟りの窓」「迷いの窓」で有名な曹洞宗の寺院。
丸い形の「悟りの窓」は、⼤宇宙と禅の⼼を表し、四角い「迷いの窓」は⼈の⽣涯を象徴し、⽣⽼病死の四苦⼋苦を表しています。
またこの本堂の血天井は、1600年、伏見城にて徳川家康の忠⾂と⽯⽥三成の軍勢が交戦し討死・自刃した際の遺構で、よく見ると血の足跡が残ってるのが分かります。

Genkou-an, located in Takagamine, away from the hustle and bustle of Kyoto city, is a temple of the Soto sect famous for the "Window of Realization" and "Window of Delusion" in the main hall.
The round one implies Zen maturity, completeness, and enlightenment, while the square one implies confusion, ignorance, and immaturity, or the life of samsara, a life of human suffering.
The blood ceiling of this main hall is the remains of the battle at Fushimi Castle in 1600, and you can still see the bloody footprints on the surface.

なんと初訪問❗️源光庵‼️
本堂に入ると、あ〜例のアレだぁ〜🤣
鷹峯には源光庵が再開されたら是非行こうと常々思ってました。
4月から再開されていましたが、緑が深くなるのを首を長くして待っておりましたよ🌿
