📖 Short bio of Anna Lee:
Delighting her listeners with “her warm, humane musicianship” and “sweet spot of grace”, Anna Lee is an active concert violinist, chamber musician, and teacher. She began violin studies at the age of four with Alexander Souptel and debuted as soloist performing the Paganini Violin Concerto No. 1 a year and a half later with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Lan Shui. She spent a large part of her childhood in Japan and Singapore even though she was born in South Korea, and at the age of six moved to New York after being accepted to the Juilliard School Pre-College Division under the tutelage of Masao Kawasaki. Currently, she is an Artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the direction of Augustin Dumay.

Today, I’m excited to take you on a journey to the KCC’s library to discover the latest picture book translated into French: "À l’eau" by Park Heejin @bahkijin_mala , and published by CotCotCot. 💦
This delightful children's book tells the story of a grandmother who initially hesitates to go swimming with her granddaughter, but eventually finds herself immersed in the water and reluctant to leave!
We kicked off the event with an introduction to Park Heejin's book through an engaging interview. Then, children gathered to explore "À l'eau" and other captivating Korean picture books. We also enjoyed a playful and educational language game, introducing the fascinating world of Hangeul.
Inspired by the story's themes, everyone let their creativity flow through watercolor painting, capturing various shapes and scenes from the sea.
To top it all off, we indulged in a delightful selection of cupcakes adorned with images from the picture book. Plus, families had the opportunity to purchase a copy of the book. 📚
