No Filter Needed 🌄 this morning Dawn Dip with where my journey began with cold water therapy...
Nearly didn't make the alarm but the Sun made a sneaky appearance not to be missed !
Nothing beats a magical Sunrise and forever grateful for what Grant and @lene_hops created down Penarth seafront in 🏴
What cold water does for myself as a personal trainer and Peri Menopausual Mid forties Hot flush female 😂 💪🏼Reducing post-exercise muscle stiffness, eliminating fatigue, decreasing exercise-induced muscle damage (EIMD), and recoveriy.
🧂🌊Saltwater improves and increases your blood circulation by restoring minerals.
❤️ The sea dips boosts my immune system. By embracing the cold water does more than just awaken your senses. It can stimulate your lymphatic system.
💜The research, published in Post Reproductive Health found that menopausal women experienced a significant improvement in anxiety (as reported by 46.9% of the women), mood swings (34.5%), low mood (31.1%) and hot flushes (30.3%) as a result of cold water swimming.
Personally for me the after effects of the post plunge not only helps muscle recovery but also my hormonal changes which my aim is to ensure diet and cold exposure help myself through peri menopause symptoms without needing for HRT. So far so good!
Fact 💯cold exposure is enough to activate the sympathetic nervous system. This stimulates the release of dopamine and other neurotransmitters, leading to increased alertness, motivation, and overall well-being. Is this true? Well look at my smile 😁 post and during plunges as evidence.
This is part of my life now and I can't thank DawnStalkers enough .
Great company @rachyandtribe
Tinks 💕

It’s kinda weird that being numb in cold water can actually make you feel something! The serenity of first light before the sunrise beams into your eye sockets, quiet anticipation, the low chatter before the gasps perhaps screams as the water entered, breathing deep.... the burning sensation of skin shocked by the differentiation of temperature, senses awakended but numbness of touch, breath settles and calmness comes over, coaxing emotions and sensations from the depths of our being - surroundings taken in, conversations flow like gentle currents, words exchanged amidst the shared experience... And in amongst it all, the simple question; are you ok? Well, better... the sun rises over the horizon, casting its glow upon the water, we emerge cold, renewed, and perhaps slightly more prepared to face the day.
