I had an interesting dream last night where I was racing my sister on a bike in a real life setting resembling a super Mario kart track - it was thrilling, there were speed runs, gliding, loops and other fun turbo options. One of the final turns I got hit by a car pretty hard and saw myself through my sister’s eyes, lying down on the ground unconscious with blood all over the face and body. At that point, I felt different states of emotion, from fear to anxiety….and finally happiness and relief - when I saw myself starting to move again and smile.
It is said in different cultures that dreaming of one’s own death is a sign of rebirth.
The vehicle can also be seen as a manifestation of the idea that we are it and the path we are on. The crash by itself is the most important “point of no return,” and subsequent recovery may well be the indicator of fortitude and the ability of a person to endure. Survival may also portray the strength that someone has to go through any ordeal or to live through a problematic situation.
Do you note your dreams down with an attempt to interpret them later?
