It’s that time of the year again CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY is this Sunday 3rd of march Clean up Australia inspires, mobilises and supports volunteers to remove rubbish that is accumulating in our favourite parks, beaches, local bushland, streets and waterways. Believing that there is no such thing as waste, just wasted resources, Clean Up Australia, also actively works alongside, and with communities, businesses, local, state, and federal governments and agencies to advocate for prevention, resource recovery, recycling and re manufacture that encourages and boosts the circular economy. Very much like @waste_less_world If you’re in Australia, i would like to encourage you to be a part of this uniting effort to care for our country and planet by registering to join a cleanup near you. Simply log onto register.cleanup.org.au to find a group near you. If you can give your time then consider making a donation, if you go to the site mentioned above, click “join” then search postcode 2483, you will find a group cleaning up at “woofing TORAKINA PARK, BRUNSWICK HEADS, you can then scroll down to see my name “Tom Wright” click view and make a contribution. Again this doesn’t go to me, it goes to help cover costs of the work that the @cleanupaustralia organisation does to help make Australia and the world a cleaner place for all. Thanks for being a part of the solution. #togetherwecan #cleanupaustralia #cleanuptheworld

Lionfish conservation is a crucial effort aimed at addressing the environmental impact of invasive lionfish species in marine ecosystems. Native to the Indo-Pacific region, lionfish have invaded the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico, where they lack natural predators and reproduce rapidly, outcompeting native species for food and habitat. Conservation strategies include encouraging lionfish hunting and consumption, promoting the establishment of protected marine areas, and conducting research to better understand their behavior and impact. Public awareness campaigns also play a key role in educating people about the importance of controlling lionfish populations to protect marine biodiversity.

Say no to Balloons Have you ever wondered how many balloons are used in the world and where they end up? Here's a crazy thought, almost every balloon that was ever made still exists today 😳🤯🥺 If you thought that the balloons you release into the air disappear or you let yourself be fooled by advertising that says “we have biodegradable balloons”, it is important that you read here, “They DO NOT disappear, infact they are made of various types of plastic, all of which will last at least 450 years before they start to break down and as per the law of gravity, everything that rises must fall. Balloons have been found to kill thousands of birds fish, turtles and other animals every year. There are other creative ways to celebrate without the use of balloons, just do a quick search online. #togetherwecan #stoppointlessplastic #stopreleasingballoons

Aside from creating mindful solutions to environmental problems Wasteless World, a part of our mission is to promote projects around the world that are doing the same. In Bocas before the tragic fire we managed to start paying a handful of homeless people for plastics they cleaned up from the streets of bocas del toro, this concept was not our idea, it is a practical solution in many parts of the world to incentivise otherwise disinterested people to be a part of the solution. We also aim to encourage companies to adopt more social responsable packaging. To the following companies…. @rokebyfarms @jtscoconutessence @nudiejuice #nudiejuice @theoriginaljuiceco We love your products, but sad you’re not a part of the .au program yet. Together, we can make a difference To learn more about how you can be rewarded for recycling in Australia go to @returnandearnnsw ————- Español ————- Además de crear soluciones conscientes a los problemas ambientales, con Wasteless World, parte de nuestra misión es promover proyectos en todo el mundo que estén haciendo lo mismo. 😔 -- 👎 BYE BYE LION FISH 👎 During my stay in Bocas del Toro 🇵🇦, I was collaborating with Wasteless World, an organization dedicated to finding sustainable solutions to local socio-environmental problems 💪. Bye Bye Lion Fish is one of their main projects 💡 It turns out that the lion fish is an invasive species that destroys the environmental balance in the reefs 😤 and also generates a food crisis since it eats a large part of the species that are caught for local consumption 😠 Wasteless World encourages the fishing of lion fish by local fishermen 🎣. The meat is separated for sale and jewelry is produced with its fins 💎. Finally, these products are displayed in hotels, stores and diving centers where tourists can buy them 💵, generating the funds that support the organization. 👇 Did you know the lion fish? 👇 I had seen it diving 🤿 It's beautiful! Too bad it's so harmful! 😔 . . . #lionfish #lionfishhunting #wastelessworld #bocasdeltoro #bocasdeltoropanama #lionfishjewelry #lateacherviajera #inglesparaviajes #inglesyviajes #mujeresqueviajan
