Alan Hayward, Editor
Choice: Gordon McLellan Issue 130
Explanation: Regular readers will know I’m not a big fan of Reflex Silver. However, when a bus is this cool, exceptions have to be made. A self-build with the assistance of a few choice pros, its long, low and impossible cool! Like your favourite here then go to to vote #busoftheyear
Dave Richards, Columnist, Freelancer and Editorial Stunt Double
Choice: Steph Borland Issue 140
Explanation: I write about a fair few buses over the course of a year, and there are a lot of owners who say, ‘I wanted my bus to be unique’ and then go on to do something quite ordinary. This T4 is utterly unique. You could make something similar, but never the same. Like your favourite here then go to to vote #busoftheyear
David Eccles, Columnist
Choice: Anna-Marie Freeman Issue139
Explanation: I just love Coral Red colour; originally a 50s Beetle colour the pastel shade works really well on the slab sided T4 to create a distinctive retro classic look. Understated, unfussy, just a classic T4 in a classic VW colour. Like your favourite here then go to to vote #busoftheyear
Victoria Whitehouse, Columnist
Choice: John Gregson Issue 139
Explanation: I love the simplicity, I adore the detail of the AA mat inside. The van is clean and straightforward, with only subtle changes that enhance it and don’t detract from that perfect T6 face and shape! It’s not been changed for any other reason than to just make subtle improvements and it works! Like your favourite here then go to to vote #busoftheyear
Anne Rogers, Freelancer
Choice: Lee & Julie-Anne Evans Issue 138
Explanation: Strictly speaking it’s not a bus, but my finalist for BoTY is Indy the Caddy from issue 138. With so much cleverly home built cosiness and practicality crammed into a small space, Indy is a proper camper, despite her diminutive dimensions. And, well, the bar and The Portholes…! Choice: Scott Salisbury Issue 138
Explanation: I'm choosing this van because it's owned by a young couple who want to travel and make memories. Scott did the majority of the work himself. The van is finished to a high standard. but not designed to be a show queen. They also have interesting future plans. Like your favourite here then go to to vote #busoftheyear
Martin ‘Chuff’ WallFreelancer
Choice: Tony Green Issue 134
Explanation: This bus shows what you can do with a little effort, a lot of cool ideas and some DIY skills. The interior is really well thought out and a really nice place to be. The fitting of the bespoke cabinets and custom bed is second to none, putting a lot of the large conversion companies to shame. Like your favourite here then go to to vote #busoftheyear
