[En] Spring usually reaches Santa Cruz early. March/April days are filled with sunny skies, warm weather, and lots of outdoor fun. We definitely could not miss that. That is why, in the last days, after checking surf and weather forecasts, we headed to Santa Cruz and Capitola beaches to have fun.  The 1ish hour drive from home is totally worth it. One of those days, just before going back to the Bay Area , we noticed a dad and son paddling into a stunning pastel sunset. We are glad we had the camera ready ! #santacruz #california #sup #paddleboarding #sunsetpaddle

[En] Spring is here. The snow is slowly melting away at the lake level and soon it will be all gone.  It's a bittersweet feeling when the season changes in Tahoe. We hope to get more snow in the coming days, but who really knows. In the meantime, we are taking advantage of the longer days. After a day on the slopes, there is still time and daylight for short hikes. Isn’t that great? We are excited about what Spring will bring but we will definitely miss a scenery like this. #laketahoe  #southlaketahoe #tahoe

[En] What about an afternoon hike in Lake Tahoe? Some trails are snow-free these days. It does not matter where in the lake you are; if you hike up, you are rewarded with epic views. This one is the Monkey Rock hike, a short, super fun hike that takes you to a carved granite boulder that looks like a monkey. The rock sure looks like a monkey, and it's impressive, but honestly, the beauty of this hike is the killer views you get from the top. We will try this hike on a sunset and will have the camera ready. #laketahoe  #tahoe #monkeyrock #california

[En] Two years ago, we had no idea what is like to experience a life in the mountains. We haven't conquered that yet, but we are doing our best. It is a continuous learning process, with ups and downs, but its beauty is that it goes along with many memorable and beautiful experiences. Here we are in our cabin's backyard, a place mostly calm and quiet that sometimes gets action when we get visited by squirrels, coyotes, bunnies, and, families of bears! Yes, black bears saying hello. We love it here. We are happy that we were not afraid to pursue one of our dreams: to spend part of our life in the mountains. #laketahoe #winterwonderland  #california #cabininthewoods

[En] The magic of taking unnamed dirt roads in Baja is that sometimes you end up in places like this. Miles and miles of pristine deserted beaches, with no hotels or developments. We took one of these dirt roads near Guerrero Negro. At the end of the road we saw paradise: A gorgeous immense beach. No single soul in sight. Small waves that looked rideable. Were we dreaming? That is what we thought until we caught the first wave. At the end of this day, we realized that a Baja trip, for us, is not complete without catching few waves. #guerreronegro #surfing  #bajacalifornia #bajamexico

[En] The town of Guerrero Negro is small in size but full of great and pleasant surprises. We were on our way to the El Vizcaíno Biosphere Reserve when we came across a small trail that traversed huge fields of crystallized salt. The trail should go somewhere, right? Well, we never reached the end of it but we loved what we saw.  What a delight it was to observe the colors of the salt, the blue water, and the sky mixing in harmony with the warm light of the afternoon sun. Quite a show! ¿Debe llegar a algun lugar, no? #guerreronegro #bajacalifornia #bajamexico #mulege #saltflats

[En] Our plan is that there is no plan. No matter how much we want to plan ahead, this simply does not work for us. Our idea of driving back to Baja, became a real plan literally two days before jumping into Nicolas, our Van. And by a plan, I mean to put things on the Van and drive until we get tired. On this day, my birthday, we changed our plans countless times. I cannot narrate the back and forth of our planning process, although those who know us understand how this goes :D. I will go more in-depth in our blog. Anyway, somehow we ended up in the little town of San Ignacio, a gorgeous palm oasis in the Baja California desert, and the truth is that we cannot regret it! San Ignacio has magic and we felt it. #bajacalifornia #bajamexico #sanignacio #mulege #paddleboarding

[En] Yesterday was Yellowstone's anniversary. How can we forget one of the most beautiful things we have ever witnessed in a National Park? The Old Faithful geyser erupting spectacularly with its steam back-lit by a partially obscured sun. It looks like fire, right? We remember this day like it was yesterday. Driving all night, arriving by sunrise, getting the camera ready, all just minutes before this amazing event.
