Did you know the Northern Lights are set to put on their most spectacular show in over twenty years? This isn’t just hype—it’s all thanks to the upcoming ‘solar maximum,’ a period of heightened solar activity. Because the Northern Lights are directly influenced by the sun’s antics, we’re in for a couple of years of truly awe-inspiring skies. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this!
•
Are you ready for an adventure you’ll never forget? Let’s dive into how to make the most of it:
•
When to Go:
The Northern Lights dance across the sky for 8 magical months, shining brightest around the Equinox. Circle March, April, September, and October on your calendar as the best times to catch the show.
•
How to Watch:
Visiting the Arctic Circle is always the best bet, but being north of the 45th parallel also puts you in a great position to catch a glimpse of the aurora borealis. While this doesn’t guarantee a view, your chances are certainly better. Aim for a night around the first or third quarter moon for the clearest skies and potentially breathtaking views. Remember, nature’s most stunning displays require a bit of luck and timing, but the pursuit is all part of the adventure!
