POV: Kyoto at 7AM 🤍
Kyoto is a city rich with history and culture 😍
It was once the capital of Japan for over a thousand years. It’s known for well-preserved temples, traditional wooden Machiya’s, gardens, narrow streets and terrific dining.
Notable landmarks include the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine with its thousands of vibrant red torii gates, the serene Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), and the historic Kiyomizu-dera, offering panoramic views of the city. Kyoto is also known for its picturesque Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and Sannen-zaka path (pictured here).
Don’t overlook the “touristy” parts. They exist for a reason and are worth the visit. Japan, as a whole, is crowded especially in peak season warm months. Winter sees less crowds than usual but if you want to see places this empty, come super early 🙌🏼 we shot this right around sunrise time and the streets had barely any people. We felt like we had many of these places to ourselves and slowly the streets started to fill up.
