🔟 years of
#tooomuchfoood 🥹🍕
I started this page on March 14, 2014 during my junior year of high school in NYC, when only a couple food instagrams existed and influencers were unheard of.
At the time, I was so picky I survived off plain turkey sandwiches for lunch (every single day) and had never tried sushi before (that came 1.5 years later).
I don’t remember making my account, but I do remember the judgment I faced from friends early on when I took photos of my food. I never guessed that 10 years later, taking those same photos would be my full-time job. In the words of Talking Heads, “How did I get here?”
Today, my friends are my biggest cheerleaders (and supporting actors), and their unwavering encouragement, along with my parents’ support, gave me the faith to leave my full-time startup job last year. I couldn’t do this without them.
Best of all, over the last 10 years I’ve formed close relationships with countless Jewish restaurants and businesses, culminating in
@ShabbatClub — a series where I host Friday night Shabbat dinner parties with both old and new friends at all the best spots in NYC.
Here’s to a decade of eating, and to the incredible people who’ve been part of it — aka all of you 🫶🏼
