Tonight on "Whats On Your Mind" I'm ending Womens History Month chatting with Valdese West, Institutional Director for UD Municipal Clerks Institute about being a woman in leadership in a male dominated field.
That includes abusers (I don't care how much I loved their music) and opinion-for-hire commentators (even if their points aren't always wrong). If they knowingly lie & partake in actions that harm black people, I'm not okay with them, and that's that. 🦋

Dealing with people became so much easier one I really understood that everyone views you through the lens of their perception. It's less about who you are and more about who they perceive you to be based on based on who they are and what's happened in their lives.
That doesn't mean there isn't still frustration or anger that comes with people having the wrong idea about you. But instead of it consuming your day, it becomes more of a fleeting moment. 🦋
