The most perfect expression of all that we are: we create our pig-bedecked bottles as an indication of the wines which we most want to drink ourselves. The wines which we believe best represent a region, style or appellation, according to our own tastes. These are wines which we blend ourselves, made alongside winemakers with whom we have decades-long relationships, to be drunk alongside plates of things which we cook ourselves, or alone with no plates at all. We know with certainty that if they are made to suit our own passions, they will suit yours too. Pictures by our beloved @samaharris , who also best represents all that we are.

Dear friends whose space is limited in your cellar, your wallet or your drinking calendar: it is for you that we deliver our half-cases to your door. A perfect handful of bottles designed as the perfect expression of the season, the weather, our whims and our current fascinations. The September Six moves effortlessly from the light and precise, through to the hearty and warming, to echo this month of change. For the final moments of heat here is a beautiful Viognier, crisp and fresh, perfect for early evening and a nibble, and the exotic fruit of Ericka underpinned with that clean chalkiness. And of course, there's the bottle of rosé while you still can. As the chill descends Roquefort's Les Mures is the ideal companion for heartier Autumn fare. Winemaker Olivier Durand of Dm. Triballe is a keen hunter, so his wines pair beautifully with sanglier (or failing that, game and pork will do perfectly). And of course our own classic St. JOHN Rouge to warm our hearts. You can find this, and the 12-case too, to buy online via the link in our bio. 📸 by the brilliant @samaharris .

PRESENTING: The August Case. Here are delights which speak of languid warmth, of salty Provence air and of long summer evenings. There are whites to refresh the palate and to savour, pinks to delight (including a brand new addition to our lists), and delicious reds which cry out to be drunk alongside the delicious char of the outdoor grill, or which welcome a gentle chill. And of course there are bubbles to match the heady frivolity with which you should approach this glorious month. A case of twelve or a case of six, a choice that will depend on the available space in your cellar or your social calendar. Link in bio to have these summertime gems delivered to your door. You don't need us to tell you that it's rosé weather. And a picture like this needs no description, no waxing lyrical about the joys of hot, bright sun glinting pinkly through your full, cold glass. You may just need a few notes about the wine in this bottle, since it is brand new to our lists and since we wish to convey that it is just as delicious as it looks. Elegant Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah make for bone dry, soft strawberry and peach flavours that are typical of Languedoc rosés (and make a welcome change from the Provençal pinks which are now so ubiquitous). Garrigue is the particular mix of local herbs and shrubs that grow naturally around the organic vines. @chateaudelascaux Eclat de Garrigue is a wine which speaks, as the name suggests, of light, of the land, and of a sense of place. It makes us feel, in this glorious weather, a little closer to the South of France. Pouring now at @st.john.restaurant Smithfield and Bread and Wine, and delivered straight to your door (and thence to your garden) via our website. 📸 by @samaharris

Some say that the first sign of Summer is the sudden ubiquity of shorts, knees quivering and pale in the biting British breezes. But for us it is the constant thirst for Beausoleil, which starts to glint appealingly at the earliest signs of springtime, then becomes a fixture in our glasses as the evenings lengthen. And so we will not say that this is rosé season at last, because it has been so for several months already. Our own St. JOHN is a wine for every season. But we will say that this is the season that it truly sings. And, for most of us, it’s much easier to pull off than shorts. 📸 by @samaharris , exemplary wearer of shorts and drinker of Beausoleil

Within the institution that is St. JOHN, St. JOHN Claret is an institution itself. It’s our very best-selling wine in the company and a very firm staff favourite - well priced and utterly delicious, with all the attributes of a far pricier wine. Such integrated tannins, the blackberry richness of a good Bordeaux but with a soft freshness. This is such an approachable, youthful style of Bordeaux - which is exactly how we would describe chef @elliothashtroudi here. Approachable and youthful. 📸 by @samaharris , link in bio to have Claret delivered to your door.

Dare we say that it is rosé weather at last? If Fergus is pouring, it must be so. Although truth be told, the pale pink Beausoleil has been gracing our glasses for some weeks already - fresh and crisp to underline a chilly day; light with coastal, saline notes for days of unexpected warmth. Of course it is always rosé weather. And as Trevor so rightly puts it, “there always seems to be a second glass”. Link in bio to the bottle which has been our favourite for some weeks, and holds a steadily tighter grip on our hearts as the season progresses. 📸 by @samaharris , beautiful blue suit by @drakesdiary .

There is a stigma to an own-label: it can be perceived as a ‘value range’, as though you’re being palmed off with the cheap seats. We passionately wish to challenge that view. Our St. JOHN Label wines carry our logo as our stamp of approval. They are the wines which we blend ourselves, and which we want to drink ourselves. The wines which we make to most perfectly represent a region, a style or an appellation. And since we work in partnership with our winemakers to create the blends, we have complete control of the consistency – and also the value, which we are proud to pass on to you. It's a great pleasure to do - and even more of a pleasure to drink the result. We also (forgive our saying so) think that the monochrome label is a rather stylish addition to any table... Here are the two wines that Fergus and Trevor most constantly have on their own tables - our Bourgogne Pinot Noir and our Bourgogne Chardonnay. Elegant, delicious, perfect expressions of their type: of the white Fergus says "It has an ease to it. Buttery... but not too buttery. It does everything a white burgundy should do. A reassuring, constant wine". Of the red, Trevor says "What a pleasing expression of terroir, a rather smart all-rounder. This is what a Bourgogne Rouge should taste like". Smart indeed. 📸 by @samaharris , also a stylish addition to any table.

Mad as March hares, blowing off steam and bubbles after a long shift. That's our March case behind the action here, and as usual you can have it delivered to your very door (the case, we mean. The action is up to you - although this crèmant is excellent, so we recommend getting a little more in your glass than on the floor). The link is in our bio. Twelve glorious bottles that mirror the brightness of the first glimmers of Spring, or soothe and warm you through the last throws of Winter. Joy awaits.

It’s all coming tumbling down again. Perhaps your plans have changed, necessitating more wine in your own home (with the sigh of deja-vu) - so allow us to remind you of our last order dates for Christmas delivery: Nationwide - 12 noon, December 20th London - 12 noon, December 22nd There! You have the whole weekend to clear sufficient space in your stores to accommodate the bottles needed to tide you through yet another strange season. And you have a whole weekend to wonder whether you’d like us to choose the wine for you, with our beautiful mixed cases, or to select the bottles yourself from our fabulous selection, or perhaps to throw caution to the wind with acceptance and resignation and just get a 10 litre bag-in-box. Plenty of you have done so over the last week! The link to all these fine things is in our bio. 📸 by @samaharris , a fine thing himself.

The neighbours pop in for a drink, those friends ask you over to see the tree and the new baby, that ghastly cousin whose views you so dislike must be seen before Christmas. However impromptu or unwelcome the arrangement you must still take care to drink something good - and so here we are. Long-anticipated and very much worth the wait, our ever popular festive cases are here at last. For your delectation: a beautiful collection of our dear favourites (The Christmas Case!), a luxurious box of the season's stars (The Christmas Luxury Case!), a case of pig-adorned St. JOHN classics and a decadent little clutch for the Burgundy connoisseurs, all ready to be sent to your very doorstep. The cold descends, the dark draws in, and our appetite for the lightness of frivolity bubbles and fizzes. The November Case should sate that hunger - twelve bottles chosen to soothe you into the cosiness which the season requires, and to uplift you into the merriment that your heart desires. Six glorious reds, from the fascinatingly delicious low-intervention to the classic, warming and deep. Six fabulous whites, from the beautifully crisp and quaffable to the rich and complex. All delivered to your very door. Or, if you are passing, remember that you can always pick up a bottle or two to take away - our shelves are laden, our prices are keen, our staff are knowledgable. Our wine is delicious.
