What older games have you just recently discovered?
Huge shout out to the super friendly and helpful
@meeple.mike &
@gameglutton - my new game gurus. I think I learned more games in 2 days with them than I did all of last year!
♦️ Regicide (2020) is one of the more clever uses of a regular 52 card deck that I’ve ever seen. It’s such a fun challenge to see how far you can get through the face cards. I keep hearing that it’s brutally difficult, and I hope that’s true because I definitely didn’t help the group get very far haha
💀 Skull (2011) is a game I almost avoided the last few years, but it is a pretty perfect bluffing game for the pub. Trying to find a bunch of flowers amidst skulls is never as easy as it sounds!
🐙 Crash Octopus (2021) is a fun little dexterity game where you try to flick cargo close to your boat while avoiding octopus attacks. I think Jon might have let me win a match after completely dominating my first try
💎 Flyin’ Goblins (2020)
@iellogames - is further proof I need to play more dexterity games because it led to a lot of fun and laughter at the table as 4 of us simultaneously launched our goblins into a kingdom in a race to steal the most loot and build the biggest army.
🌌
@cosmicencounter (2008) is an interesting roller coaster of a game that can be difficult to keep up the competition while leaning into the chaos and silliness that it demands. I can easily see this game birthing some epic gaming memories while maybe even falling flat or feeling dull other nights. Either way, I hope to explore this more for sure - just not as the Bleeding Heart
💰 Burgle Bros (2015)
@fowers.games - I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about this one, but I’m always down for a good ole heist! You certainly feel the tension in this pizzly co-op game, that’s for sure!
I also had a lot of fun with Coup (2012), Green Team Wins (2022 -
@25thcenturygames ), Number Drop (2021 -
@alderaceg ), and Catch the Moon (2017). Hoping to play all four of these games again in the future!
How about you? What older games did you get to your table or are you waiting to play?!
