(🎧 recommended) (Read Below)
When you tune a snare drum high and throw off the wires, what kind of sound do you get? A timbale-like sound.
Now, when you tune a snare drum super low, what kind of sound do you get? A field marching drum sound.
What I am trying to explain through these two examples is the sonic options are endless when it comes to drums.
And yet, we put drums into a sonic box that we are most comfortable with.
A snare drum doesn’t have to always sound like a snare drum, and a cymbal doesn’t always need to sound like a cymbal.
Take some time to think outside of the box and allow your mind to create something you are not comfortable with.
Anyway, have a wonderful day!! I love you guys! Stay Safe! Okay. Byeeeee. 🥁🤓👊🏻❤️✌🏻
PS: thank you to one of my best friends, @iamisrabatista , for always initiating wonderful conversations with thoughts like this. A conversation last week with him inspired this post’s topics.
