Ever wondered what it’s like to take the
@Caledoniansleeper train from London to Scotland? 🧳🏴🚉
Travelling with a little one 🧿can be rough, especially on multiple planes after a 12 hour journey from the States. Instead of adding another flight to our day, we decided to instead take the Caledonian Sleeper train up to Glasgow for a more comfortable trip home with wee man. From beginning to end our journey was lovely! We were greeted by the warmest staff who helped store all of our luggage and directed us to our cabin. We were staying in a Double Room, which was so cosy yet had plenty of room for a family of three. The cabin came with all the amenities you’d need for an overnight stay including Scottish luxury toiletries by
@arransenseofscotland . We even had our own ensuite & sink, which allows you to stay in your cabin for the whole ride if you choose.
The Club Car was our second favourite area of the train - we ordered some delicious Scottish cuisine and even had a chance to try the exclusive Caledonian Sleeper Whisky commemorating the 150 Year Anniversary of the Scotland-London Sleeper services.
After a comfortable night’s sleep, we woke up to stunning views of the Scottish countryside during sunrise. We watched the scenery through our window while relaxing from the comfort of our bed then took a quick shower and got ready to head to breakfast. The Club Car serves a traditional Scottish Breakfast with haggis & black pudding but you also have the option to get your meal delivered to your cabin! This was the best way for our family to be welcomed back home in Glasgow and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough, especially if you’re in London this summer and looking to explore Scotland!
