Have you ever dreamt of being a dandelion fluff drifting away on a gentle summer breeze? In this small game for 2-3 players, you embody a dandelion aiming to distribute its fluffs as efficiently as possible across the landscape. Your goal is to land the highest number of fluffs (dice) on as many tiles as possible, preferably those yielding the most points. Both the number of dice and the pips on each die will grant you points at the game’s end. But beware, the fluffs of other dandelions (opponents) might divert yours to the wrong places! We played it with three players, and it’s genuinely a delightful, laid-back game that harbors more depth than initially meets the eye. The only downside I personally found is that the tiles remind me more of an aquarium than a landscape... I would have preferred something different. Nevertheless, we truly consider this small game a gem within its genre, and we’re eagerly looking forward to drifting along on this summer breeze once more. #dandelions #dandelion #dandeliongame #boardgametablesdotcom #boardgametables #dicegame #rollthedice #rollthedice🎲🎲 #dicechucking #boardgamephotography #boardgamephotos #boardgamepassion #boardgamenature #boardgamenight #tabletopgames #dobbelspel #dobbelspellen #dobbelstenen #gezelschapsspellen #juegosdemesa #jeudesociete #brettspiele

Wow wow wow. This little game is a true gem! Since we bought it, it has hit the table 10 times already, both with 2 and 3 players. It's a lot of fun with these player counts. The setup is actually quite simple. You get 4 cards that you place facedown in front of you. You are only allowed to view the two bottom cards. These 4 cards form your clan, and you must ensure that there are no monsters in your clan by the end of the round. Of course, you prefer to see them end up in your opponents' clans 😊. During your turn, you can draw a card from the draw pile or the discard pile. If you take a card from the draw pile, you can view it and then either exchange it face down with a card in your clan or place it on the discard pile and perform the action on the card. If you take a card from the discard pile, you exchange it with a card in your clan. The downside is that everyone knows which card you just took because the discard pile is face up. The first player who thinks they have no more monsters calls SOARSA. Everyone gets one more turn, and then the points are counted. The memory aspect in this game is really fun. It may seem simple to remember a few cards, but don't be mistaken: the cards are swapped, opponents give you extra cards, and this creates tension and confusion, sometimes leading to fits of laughter at the table. Highly recommended if you're looking for a game that's easy to explain, plays quickly, and creates many funny situations at the table. This one will definitely stay in the collection! Unfortunately... straight to the for sale pile. Recently, we did a major cleanup of our board game collection and sold around 40 games. It was a lot of work, and we decided to be stricter in our judgment of whether a game should stay in our collection. Unfortunately, Galileo Project is the first casualty. Galileo Project is one we've been looking forward to playing for a long time, not least because of those clunky poker chips that look fantastic. The colorful cover also drew us in. We're fans of engine builders, so when it went on sale at our local game store, we couldn't resist. This afternoon, it hit the table for the first time, and don't get us wrong, it's not a bad game at all. There are various aspects to focus on and multiple paths to victory. The rules are well-written, not too complex, and you can finish a game in about an hour with two players. However, for some reason, we just couldn't fully immerse ourselves in the game; it felt somewhat dry and lacked the excitement we were hoping for. The artwork on the cards also left us a bit underwhelmed. It lacked the fun factor for its weight and was too light on the other hand to say it's exceptionally well-designed. The likelihood of it returning to the table is too slim, hence our decision not to keep it in our collection. What do you think about this one? #galileoproject #galileoprojectboardgame #sorrywearefrench #spacethemedboardgame #boardgamesaddict #tabletopgames #brettspiele #enginebuilder #enginebuildinggames #spaceboardgames #bordspellen #gezelschapsspellen #spelletjesmiddag #firstplay #boardgamereview #boardgamephotography #boardgamephotos

Today is #rarediseaseday or in German #tagderseltenenerkrankungen . Therefore it’s time to participate in the hashtag of our dear friend @osgor again: #boardgamesforrarediseases We didn’t have much time to take a new shot, but still wanted to show our support for this cause. 𝓣𝔂𝓻𝓪𝓷𝓽𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓤𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓭𝓪𝓻𝓴 This is a game from 2016 and although we had heard a lot of good things about it, we never got around to buying or playing it. In 2021, a reissue came out that immediately includes the "Aberrations & Undead" expansion at an attractive price. It was added to our collection in September, but we only got around to playing it last week... In the meantime, we've already played it four times! What a great game! The combination of deckbuilding and area majority on the game board works very well and makes it (even with 2 players) a very exciting game. There is quite a bit of interaction in which you try to thwart each other's plans. It is exciting until the end to see who will ultimately win, because you can earn points in a number of ways: not only for the control you have on the board, but also your cards can earn you a significant number of points, especially if you have been able to promote some of them to your inner circle. Dungeons and Dragons is fairly unfamiliar territory for us, but we thought it was cool to encounter the mindflayer and the demogorgon. We do know them from Stranger Things, of course. This version has small circular cardboard tokens that you place on the board. In the original version, these were plastic minis, although I didn't find them very attractive either, I really miss some kind of tactile experience here. The cardboard circles are very small and awkward to pick up. I will probably look for a replacement for this. Any ideas? #tyrantsoftheunderdark #deckbuilding #areacontrol #areamajority #galeforcenine #boardgames #jeudesociete #juegosdemesa #bordspel #dungeonsanddragons #mindflayer #strangerthings #tabletopgames #boardgamesofinstagram #j2s #boardgamephotography

A Kickstarter project that is near and dear to our hearts is live! Totem Hoarder is an interactive and strategic card game for 2 players. Take on the role of 2 rivaling archaeologists and during your journey, you come face to face with various strange creatures with fantastic abilities. Recruit them to help you on your mission! Totem Hoarder is a very clever card game with simple rules. Turns are quick and easy with only the following steps: draw a card + play a card/clean up. You start the game with a fung bodyguard on your team and now it's up to you to get your hands on 3 totems as quickly as possible. This sounds easier than it is, because Totem Hoarder is a very interactive game where you constantly need to be prepared for your opponent's next move. They won't miss any chance to snatch your cards with their Karp Thief or to use their Roach Hypnotist to move a totem or other card from your team to theirs. You can stop any move from your opponent by calling upon a spooky skellie, but be careful not to do this too much, because if you have 4 skellies on your team, you lose immediately! When playing a card, you can perform the indicated action (strike, hypnotize, poison, draw card, etc.), but some cards also trigger all your other team members of certain color(s), which can lead to insane combos. We think Totem Hoarder is a fantastic game for two players. The rules are easy, artwork is gorgeous and colourful and cards are full of humor. The moment when you can make a combo that rewards you with a beautiful totem or can wipe out some of your opponent's team members feels so good! The replayability factor is extremely high, with each game feeling different and you keep discovering new strategies. A game lasts about 20-30 mins you can easily play several times in a row... hello there sweet revenge! We've played it countless times now and it still keeps us entertained. If you often play with 2 players, this is one that should be in your collection! #totemhoarder #bordspellen #gezelschapsspellen #kaartspellen #brettspiele #kartenspiel #karten #boardgames #kickstarter #boardgamesaddict #gryplanszowe #jeudesociete #juegosdemesa #jogodetabuleiro #giochidatavolo

❓What did you back lately? ❓ About two weeks ago, we backed 4 games in a row 😁! Arborea - a colorful worker placement game which Rahdo says is a Bitoku killer... Bitoku is already one of our favorites and combined with the colorful artwork, we couldn't just let this one pass us by! The Search for Lost Species - the successor to The Search for Planet X, one of the best deduction games we've played. It goes without saying that we had to jump on board with this one too! Andromeda's Edge - the next game from Luke Laurie after Dwellings of Eldervale. Eldervale is also one of our favorite games, so if more of that is coming... bring it on! Trolls and Princesses - the artwork by Edu Valls and the theme drew us in. We're very curious about this one! What do you think of our choice? #arborea #arboreaboardgame #alleycatgames #thesearchforlostspecies #renegadegamestudios #thesearchforplanetx #andromedasedgeboardgame #lukelaurie #dwellingsofeldervale #cardboardalchemy #trollsandprincesses #gamebrewer #gamefound #kickstarterboardgame #kickstarterboardgames #boardgames #boardgameaddict #workerplacementgame #deductiongame #tabletopgames #tabletopgamer #boardgamecollection #boardgamelover #juegosdemesa #gezelschapsspellen #jeudesociete

Do you like to write on cards? Today is #firstimpressionsfriday started by @kay_plays_games and today we take a look at Astra by @mindclashgames We are huge Mindclash fans, owning every game up to date, and every new game is an insta-buy (or back) for us. This was the case too with Astra! They deviate a bit from the path of long, heavy games with this one being more on entry/gateway level and playable in 20 minutes. We played Astra a couple of times with 2 players and I am a bit sad to say that this is the first MC we have mixed feelings about. I do feel that a huge part of this is because 2p is not the ideal player count. I see it shine with 3 players and am excited to try that out. Astra is about discovering constellations by crossing out the stars on the (beautiful) cards. The one that crosses the last star, can keep the card. These give you great abilities and extra bonuses. The player that doesn’t win the card, can also get a bonus if they discovered a star in this constellation. This is simply said, there is a bit more to it in reality. In 2p, a bot player takes an extra turn when one of the players rests, crossing out a number of stars depending and potentially taking the card. The starting turns in 2p are all about dividing the markings as much as possible around the different cards, because you don’t want the opponent to acquire a very good card. But he does the same, so you’re not getting anything either. The bot then discards those cards… In this way the game takes a while to start rolling, because if no one gets a card with an ability…. It comes down to taking turns and crossing out stars really. Once it starts rolling, I do like it though… That’s why I really want to play at 3p, cause I think this will solve the issue. If you play mainly at 2p, I would try before you buy. Or buy anyway because the game is gorgeous 😁. #astra #mindclashgames #boardgamereview #boardgamereviews #boardgameaddict #boardgamephotography #bgg #bggcommunity #boardgamephotos #boardgamepassion #gatewaygames #tabeltopgaming #tabletopgames #jeudesociete #gezelschapsspellen #letsplay #boardgamenight #bordspelmania #bordspellen #bordspelavond #juegotablero #brettspiel
