Proud dad, my daughter's represented their cultures🇦🇺🇳🇺🇼🇸 today at school and also my 6 year old daughter did a speech in French 🇨🇵 from her school days over there. Grateful her school had harmony day and that it celebrates all cultures 🧡🧡🧡🧡
Happy birthday 🎂 bro. 36 hill sprints for the uce and felt you pushing me this morning. Awesome to have the mayor of newy join me and smash it. It's no Tregear hill but always thinking of you MAZ
10 years married to my absolute best friend. You have made my life full of adventure and fun and you have made me feel loved and safe and I have never doubted your love for me from pretty much our first date when you said you knew you were going to marry me!! Best thing I ever did was finally say yes to our first date 🩷🩷
Since arriving back from France 1 month a go. The transition from full time professional athlete to now exploring options for the future has been fun and stressful.
The idea was to say yes to everything and see where that will lead my passion for what I would like to do next.
What I realise is the relationships you build over time people will remember that and that’s how I’ve been fortunate to find some work back in Australia.
Some jobs I’ve done
-NDIS work @alongsideservices
-Teachers aide @brodiecashmere
-Coffee barista @soapboxcoffee
-Radio with ABC @samwykes4@t_arona
At the same time meeting and learning off so many great people who have helped lead me in the right direction.
So a big Thankyou and while I’m still figuring it all out here’s a little snippet of another job I’ve really enjoyed with @impactacademyau delivering mentoring and wellbeing programs to high schools.
😍🥰💖 barely can believe I am writing this, but everyone’s asleep and I’m reminiscing 😂!
Five years ago, we moved to St Helens with our 10 month old Kehani & all the excitement. Five years later we are leaving with a 3 year old Jayda born in England the week of Covid lockdown and our 2 month old Izaiah born in France and what looks like a lot of suitcases but pretty much every toy and item of the kids has been thrown or given away. 💔 We have made the most AMAZING memories! 💕 Sef retired a year ago and we have spent every single day together as a family since & we have loved it!! Mostly it’s been amazing but there has been some very challenging times. Instagram sees the highs and our holiday life which yep is 90% of the time 😂 but it’s hard to capture the moments of loneliness, the feelings of missing out and feeling SO far away, thé explaining to your kids when they don’t know why their cousins can be at their grandparents house and they can’t etc. I try to rarely complain because our life has been fun and adventurous and exciting but there have been some really low moments particularly this year 💖
We came to a point where we thought we could live in France forever or we could go home. So we decided home & the start of showing our kids the best Aussie life. It’s been exciting and hard all at once, like this last 5 years has been. ❤️✨
Anyways thanks for following along the last 5 years🤣 and if you read my essay…Please be our real life friends again and make us and our kids love Australia and enjoy our amazing life here too 💖🙌🏽✨
🚲 💐😍 Final country on our Campervan holiday .. The Netherlands & Amsterdam!! It has been the easiest best time traveling in the motorhome and the best way to finish our Europe adventures 💜🩷
