@k2.skis @boafitsystem !!year in review!!
Over one year in on these ski boots, beaten battered and thriving.
These are the K2 Mindbender 130 BOA® boots. I’ve been using them as my only pair for everything I do in skiing. They remain stock other than some aftermarket insoles and the use of the toe box inserts provided with the boots, to fill some room in the toe box left by my skinny feet.
I jumped into skiing these boots right out of the box and haven’t found the need to get them fitted.
The action of wrapping the boot shell around your foot with the BOA® Fit System vs clamping it down with a buckle eliminates pressure points, which allows blood flow and reduces cramping. The way the shell conforms to your foot makes for a really precise, performance fit that doesn’t cause your feet to scream.
These boots have undergone some heavy use, from long touring days, snowmobiling and airport luggage handlers, to skiing icy moguls in really cold temperatures. The BOA® Fit System hasn’t slipped, broken or failed through any of it.
I’m really pleased and think it’s pretty exciting to see some new tech in ski boots, especially tech that works. Looking forward to seeing how this technology can improve ski boots even more!
