Knee pain is common and can be a symptom of many different knee conditions or injuries. The inside of your knee, also called the medial knee or the medial compartment, is the area of the knee that’s closest to your opposite knee. Medial knee pain typically occurs because of a deterioration of cartilage. It can also follow a sports injury or other type of trauma to your knee. Your knee is easily injured because it’s one of the most complex joints in the body. The knee consists of the intersection of four bones, four ligaments, several tendons, two menisci, and cartilage. #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise #massage

Both compound and isolation exercises have their place in a well-rounded workout regimen. If you are interested in getting a complete, efficient and functional workout, doing predominantly compound exercises during your training is ideal. But there are times when isolating a specific muscle, muscle group or joint is necessary and recommended. Compound Exercises Allows you to get a full body workout faster and burns more calories Allows you to lift heavier loads and build more strength Decreases the risk of injury during sports Keeps your heart rate up and provides cardiovascular benefits Simulates real-world exercises and activities Isolation Exercises Allows you to add isolate areas you’d like to bulk up, such as pecs or biceps Can help in rehabilitation following an injury Improves strength in specific muscles  Isolates individual muscles #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise #bhfyp

The effects of massage on nerves and soft tissues Depending on the type of massage, a therapist may work on your muscles, joints, nerves, and/or layers of connective tissue deep below your skin. A few examples of massage techniques include deep tissue massage, trigger-point therapy, and neuromuscular therapy. A massage can cause the following changes to occur in your body, easing the sciatica pain: Loosen and relax muscles. When your trunk, core, and lower back muscles are tight, they can apply pressure on the sciatic nerve root(s) in your lower back. Tight muscles may also get knotted up into small painful nodules, causing trigger point pain. Massage therapy can effectively stretch, loosen, and elongate these muscles, improving pain and function in your lower back and legs. Facilitate the circulation of healing nutrients. Hands-on soft tissue manipulation from massage stimulates the blood vessels in your skin and deeper tissues. There is enhanced circulation of blood, oxygen, and other nutrients to the sore areas, promoting healing. Release endorphins.  Massage stimulates specific pressure receptors in your brain, which are special nerve fibers. Stimulation of these pressure receptors helps reduce pain by releasing endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good hormone. Reduce stress.  Stimulation of the pressure receptors also helps reduce the levels of cortisol in your body—the hormone that causes stress. Reduced stress helps provide a feeling of relaxation and relief, with a lesser perception of pain. #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise #healing

NOT ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU EAT BUT HOW YOU EAT Intermittent fasting, “don’t eat before bed”, “breakfast isn’t needed”, alternate day fasting, OMAD – too many diets and dieting rules nowadays have really impacted when and how often we allow ourselves to nourish our bodies. The consistency and timing of your meals/snacks throughout the day is key to keeping your body energized and happy and provides benefits to your overall health and well-being. Several articles in recent years have emphasized that it doesn't really matter when we eat. Although I would agree that precise or strict timing of meals and snacks is unnecessary, there are benefits to having somewhat of a consistent eating schedule throughout the day. Ideally, we rely on our hunger cues and body’s signals to guide us on when to eat throughout the day, but when our eating patterns have been more chaotic or we’ve gotten used to skipping meals and not eating enough throughout the day, our hunger cues may not reliable when starting out. #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise #diet

𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞 ——— 📚Neck pain can occur throughout the cervical spine including the area just inferior to the skull, also referred to as the suboccipital region. Issues in this region are also thought to be associated with cervicogenic headaches, which describe a form of headache that originates from the neck and refers to regions of the head and/or face. 🔎Tissues that are thought to contribute to pain in this region of the neck and/or the development of a cervicogenic headache include muscles, ligaments, joints and discs in the region between the skull and C1-3 vertebrae. 🧠Symptoms are usually unilateral (on one side) and provoked with movement of the neck and palpation of the upper cervical spine. Other associated findings include weakness of the deep neck flexors and trigger points in the upper trapezius, levator, scalenes and suboccipitals. ✅Considering these findings, the following partner technique may be helpful if you are suffering from this type of neck pain/headache. 1️⃣Suboccipital Massage: Place your hands and fingers just below the base of your partner’s skull as shown. Move them around slightly until you find tender points or areas that reproduce their headache symptoms. Hold in this position for several minutes to help ease muscle tension and pain. The chin tuck can be added to further mobilize the area, but isn’t necessary. #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise #massage

Turning pro is a mindset. If we are struggling with fear, self-sabotage, procrastination, self-doubt, etc., the problem is, we're thinking like amateurs. Amateurs don't show up. Amateurs crap out. Amateurs let adversity defeat them. The pro thinks differently. He shows up, he does his work, he keeps on truckin', no matter what. #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise #massagetherapy

Carbohydrate consumption is often associated with weight gain. So, it’s not uncommon for clients to want to follow a low carb diet. Yet, reducing carb intake could negatively impact a client’s ability to achieve optimal muscle gain. Cells use glucose for energy production. When glucose is stored in the body, it is called glycogen. If the body doesn’t have enough glycogen available, getting through a resistance training workout can be a struggle. Carbohydrates help top off glycogen stores, supporting a more intense exercise session.  Rice Similar to weight loss, caloric intake is the most important factor when it comes to gaining lean mass. However, quality carbohydrates from foods like rice can support bulking efforts a few different ways. Pasta Adding pasta to your daily diet is a healthy way of building muscle mass as it's rich in carbohydrates and protein. Adding light sauces, lean meats and low-fat cheeses to your dish is also recommended Potatoes Potatoes are a good source of potassium and carbs, so eat them after your workout to restore your energy levels and speed up post-workout muscle repair. Fruits Fruits provide a natural source of carbohydrates along with a good amount of vitamins and minerals. For higher-calorie fruits, choose bananas, pineapple, or dried fruits such as raisins or dried cranberries. Oats Oats are a great form of carbohydrate which is incredibly beneficial for preparing your muscles for working out – carbs supply the body with the energy it needs. Oats are digested at a slow pace meaning those consuming them before workouts will experience a longer payoff of its energising benefits. Quinoa Quinoa. If ever there was a perfect post-workout food, it's quinoa. Not only is it high in protein and fiber, it's also high in magnesium and iron, which helps to promote protein synthesis. Plus, it contains all nine amino acids essential for building muscle, and it's gluten-free, so it's easy to digest. #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp
