My dear friend Fraser Moss very sadly left this mortal coil last year. He was one of the most hilarious, stylish and musically knowledgeable chaps that I ever had the honour of calling a friend. I met him via @kegrand in the early 90’s and I was immediately and hugely impressed. Before I got to know him well I would obsess over his outfits (I still own the Westwood cardigan that I purchased after I’d seen him wearing the very same one circa 1992). He really had that “special thing.” He of course went on to create YMC, a game changer in so many ways. We’re having a little soirée in his honour next month. I’m not on the poster because I’m a Brummie and they were worried that I might attract a rough crowd. 🤷🏼‍♂️😂 However, I shall be playing, and I very much look forward to revisiting some of the music that we both bonded over. Please join us. ❤️❤️❤️ #frasermoss #ymc

Farewell to M. Emmet Walsh (22nd March 1935 - 19th March 2024). One of the great American character actors of the late 20th Century. Perhaps best known for his outstanding performances in Blood Simple and Blade Runner. But for me his brief appearance in The Jerk will always be one of my favourite scenes in any movie ever. Absolutely hilarious. “Die Navin R. Johnson. Bastard, random son of a bitch, typical run of the mill bastard.” 😔❤️ #memmetwalsh #thejerk #bladerunner #bloodsimple

White Bicycles: Making Music In The 1960’s by Joe Boyd. I’m five chapters into one of the best books about music in the 1960’s that I’ve perhaps ever read (it’s very informative about the 50’s too). Joe Boyd, an American in London, was the man behind the legendary UFO happenings on Tottenham Court Road, he produced the first Pink Floyd single, he discovered, produced and managed Nick Drake. He produced the soundtracks to A Clockwork Orange and Deliverance too. And so much more of course. He’s also a supernaturally brilliant writer. ❤️ Huge, and very belated thanks, to my dear old friend @ianbillreaney for gifting me this. ❤️ #joeboyd #whitebicycles #ufoclub #pinkfloyd #nickdrake #aclockworkorange #deliverance

I went to see the fabulous Fashion City: How Jewish Londoners shaped global style exhibition at the @museumoflondon last week. Great to see Cecil Gee, Mr Fish and countless other Jewish pioneers getting the recognition they so massively deserve. This stunning pair of 1930’s shoes especially caught my eye. 😍 #museumoflondon #mrfish #cecilgee #fashioncityhowjewishlondonersshapedglobalstyle

I really can’t believe a year has passed already. I miss my dear friend @steve__mackey very much indeed. I took this photo when we were on holiday in Tokyo in 2018 at Yakumo, one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining in. Steve and I had made a vow to each other to eat absolutely anything that was presented to us during the holiday. Eating challenging things became a bit of a game for us. We laughed a lot!!! My other enduring memory is the day out we had visiting temples in extreme heat on which we decided we should buy ourselves parasols. It was practical but we could not stop laughing at the idea of what our friends from Sheffield and Birmingham would have to say if they could see us. We always laughed a lot when we were together. Miss you mate. ❤️❤️❤️ #stevemackey
