There’s jerk marinade and then there’s @caribbeancroft ’s jerk marinade 🍗🔥💯 Chargrilled jerk chicken breast fillets, croftslaw, salad & rice’n’peas. Proper 🤤 (look at the portion size as well)

This has to be one of the most exciting Bristol openings of the year! @condesabristol 🇲🇽🌮🍸 Another venue from the incredible @seasonandtaste group alongside @bravasbristol @gambastapasbar @cargocantina Where to start with how much I loved it?! 🖤 As with everything the @seasonandtaste group touch - there is not one detail that has been missed. The restaurant is intimate & gorgeous. Candles everywhere, dim lights, cosy corners and a fantastic soundtrack. Don’t forget the bar where you can sit, order plate by plate & sink some mezcal margs.. 🍸 Speaking of mezcal, there’s even a secret mezcal hideaway (but that’s for you to discover when you visit!) We ate: 🌮 Carne Asada Tacos con Todo 🧀 Bristol cheddar quesadilla, shallots, pineapple salsa 🥩 Hand cut beef tartare tostada, habanero, aioli + capers 🍋 Queso Fresco, hot agave, preserved lime 🥒 Raw courgette, mango, habanero, coriander 🐟 Sea bream ceviche, grapes, red chilli, herbs 🐷 Braised pork beans 🦴 Bone Marrow The team have done extensive research & menu development and it shows. The food is an utter joy to eat - so many flavours, so fresh and absolutely delicious. I’m not able to pick a favourite dish as everything was amazing - and there were so many dishes we didn’t have! (An excuse to go back immediately 😉) The staff added to the experience - so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Taking is through the dishes, their favourite & recommendations. Their passion shone through in everything they were saying about the restaurant. @condesabristol could easily be the best new opening of the year, a bold claim seeing as we’re only in March but I cannot recommend you try there enough. It’s EVERYTHING! 👏

Happy 3rd birthday to @milkbunuk ! 🍔🎈 I remember going to their first burger pop-up allllll those years ago in Bath & knowing these burgers were something special! My firm favourite has to be the classic ‘Bronx burger’: 30 day aged beef blend 🥩, homemade milk bun 🍞, American cheese 🧀, pickles 🥒 , red onion 🧅 , mustard & ketchup. It’s the closest thing to a McDonald’s chesney you’ll get (but better in my opinion! 😉) If you haven’t visited, go along for the beef, the sides, the drinks and the vibes! 🥳 Happy birthday team, looking forward to eating many more baps with you 🍔

This is your sign to visit @theponychewvalley 🐴 Booked a table spontaneously on Friday for dinner - it’s nice to get out of the hustle & bustle, especially now the evenings are a little lighter. We’ve always loved The Pony for being a country spot that isn’t a million miles away in the car. I knew @theponychewvalley had undergone a big refurb since my last visit & I was excited to see its new look. Firstly, the garden! 🌲🌸🪻🌱🌼🌳🌺 The grounds are starting to spring bloom & make for a beautiful view from the restaurant - so peaceful & so much growing! 🥬 If you fancy it, you can pop in just to have a stroll around. I love that 🫶 As you walk in, there’s some cosy pub seating, perfect for a pre-dinner tipple, a coffee during the day, or a bevvie after a country walk 🍻 It’s cosy, inviting & relaxed. I really wasn’t prepared for how glorious & gorgeous the new restaurant was.. Down the staircase the venue opens up into the garden restaurant - it’s spacious, rustic & beautiful all at the same time! The whole front is glass doors (which open in the summer) overlooking the garden 🥰 There’s different options for dining: you can go for the chefs tasting menu (£60 for 6 courses) or the al a carte. On the Al a carte, there’s some pub classics if you fancy some staples. Naturally, everything is sourced locally or grown on site 🥕🥒🌶️🫛🫑 We enjoyed: 🦪 Crispy Maldon rock oyster 🧀 Gougére, rarebit + pickled walnut 🐷 Crispy pigs head, parsnip purée, apple + celery salad 🐟 Mullet with creme fraiche + blood orange 🥩 Côte De Beouf with Bourguignon sauce, roasted beetroot, horseradish, watercress + chunky hand cut chips 🥕 Marmite roasted carrots with tahini dressing 🥦 Hispi cabbage with broccoli purée Every dish, every bite, was better than the last. Fresh, flavour bombed fare presented beautifully and tasting delicious. Every time a plate was put down, it was that moment where you both take a bite, look at each other and go..🤤 The whole experience was so relaxed, sitting amongst the chatter of the restaurant, taking our time & really enjoying every part of it.
