Goan Favorite sweets Dhodol😍 ❤️ An authentic Goan delicacy, Dodol is a luscious dessert that will take your taste buds on a heavenly ride.
Dodol is made from coconut milk, jaggery, and rice flour, and is sticky, thick, and sweet. The cooking process would reduce the contents up to half as the liquid evaporates
It took me literally 3 hours to cook, depending on the technique and tools used. I cooked in normally local form.
INGREDIENTS:
2 cup coconut milk ( 1 times extracted milk)
1 cup coconut milk ( 2nd time extracted milk )
200 grams rice flour
300 grams palm grated jaggery
50 grams cashews
STEPS :
1. To prepare this delicious dessert, take a large bowl and mix the rice flour with the coconut milk (coconut exract milk ) . Make sure the mixture is lump-free.
2. Heat a saucepan over a medium flame and pour flour batter into it. Add the palm jaggery to it and keep stirring. Cook till the mixture attains a thick consistency. (* it took me 2 & 1/2 hours for whole process *)
3. When the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan. Pour it into a ghee greased dish and let it cool down for a few hours.
4. Once cooled down, cut into desired shapes and serve.
