Sesame Chicken recipe from Modern Honey! 😍 Instructions To make Chicken: Place flour and cornstarch in a shallow dish or pie plate. Add a hefty pinch of salt. Stir. Whisk eggs in a shallow dish.Dip chicken pieces in the egg mixture and then flour mixture. Place on the plate. Heat 2 -3 inches of oil in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Using a thermometer, watch for it to reach 350 degrees. Working in batches, cook several chicken pieces at a time. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes, turning often until golden brown. *May need longer depending on temperature of the oil. Place chicken on a paper-towel-lined plate. Repeat. Sesame Sweet and Sour Sauce: In a medium pot, add honey, vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, ginger, garlic, and red chili flakes. Heat for 3 minutes. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with 1 Tablespoon of water to form a paste. Add to sesame sauce and whisk together. Continue to cook for 5 minutes, until the mixture begins to thicken. Once the sauce is thickened, remove from heat and toss with fried chicken. You may reserve some of the sauce to place on rice. Serve it with sesame seeds and a sprinkling of green onions.

Chicken Chow Mein recipe from The Modern Proper! 😍 In a medium bowl, toss the chicken with the salt and cornstarch until evenly coated. Add 2 tablespoons of the soy sauce and mix until evenly coated. Bring a medium pot of water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add the coated chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 4 minutes. Drain and set aside. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, cook the noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside. Heat 1 tablespoon of the sesame oil and 2 tablespoons of the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is glistening, add the chicken and cook, stirring, until cooked through, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Add another tablespoon of the sesame oil and 2 tablespoons of the vegetable oil to the wok. Add the carrots, cabbage, celery, garlic, and ginger and cook, stirring, until softened and fragrant, 4 minutes more. In a small bowl, combine the oyster sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili sauce, and the remaining 3 tablespoons of soy sauce until fully combined. Increase the heat to high and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and the remaining 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the wok. Add the noodles and sauce and cook, stirring, until combined and caramelized, 5 minutes. Return the veggies and chicken to the wok and toss to combine. Sprinkle with green onions and serve warm.

Chicken fajita burrito bowl recipe from The Modern Proper! 😍 Taking cues from Chipotle’s burrito bowl, we like to pile everything up high making for one delicious prep ahead meal! In a large bowl make a marinade using the taco seasoning, olive oil and lime juice. Toss chicken and vegetables in marinade and allow to marinate, covered for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spread ingredients across pan and allow to bake for 15 minutes, or until meat is cooked through. If you want to add some char to meat and veggies, broil for another 3 minutes. In a bowl spread out rice and top with all desired fixings. Enjoy! *Prep tip- Store all ingredients separately and build for meal prep. If making for lunch store the guacamole, sour cream, salsa and cilantro in a separate container than the rice, chicken and beans. Heat up the bowl and top with fixings!

Italian Chicken & Pasta recipe from The Stay at Home Chef! 😍 Instructions Heat olive oil in a large (12-inch) deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add in chicken and season with salt, pepper, and granulated garlic. Cook chicken until it starts to brown, about 6-8 minutes. Add chicken broth, Italian seasoning, and uncooked pasta. Turn heat to medium-high and bring everything to a boil. Once it hits a rolling boil, turn the heat to medium and cover with a lid. Cook pasta in the chicken broth until pasta is al dente. Cooking time will vary based off of what type of pasta you use, so be sure to check the package directions. Stir occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Once pasta is cooked to al dente, reduce heat to a simmer and add in the mushrooms, spinach leaves, heavy cream, and sun-dried tomatoes. Stir until well incorporated. Let simmer for 1 more minute, and remove from stove. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and stir until melted. Serve hot.
