Spring seasonal drinks are here and available in all our cafes!
We have 3 new drinks on the menu. Tahitian Dream is a nod to the Mai Tai, with flavors like hibiscus, lime, and orgeat. Mae's Delight is returning with it's fresh take on traditional Turkish coffee with a balance of rich espresso, sweet honey, aromatic cardamom, and floral rose. Last but not least, Oh Honey combines iced Snow Jasmine tea, dry juniper syrup, and a creamy honeydew melon foam.
La Montaña — Irvin Izaguirre's micro-lot — sits at 1850 MASL, high above its neighboring farms in Santa Barbara, Honduras. The farm produces primarily the Pacas variety, and its cherries are harvested in small lots and transported by mule because of the uniquely high altitude and narrow footpaths. Such a high elevation comes with strong winds, but the family has utilized mulberry trees as windbreaks, planting more every year.
This year Irvin’s coffee is marked with soft notes of red berries like raspberry, as well as cane sugar and rose.
Join our roastery tours on the last Friday of every month! You'll get an inside look into a morning at the Madcap training space and roastery. Expect to learn the general process around coffee roasting, how coffee goes from green to your bag at home, and how to taste coffee like a pro.
Space is limited, so get your ticket now on our website!
Our team makes annual trips to visit the farms of our producers, meeting up both with our long-standing partnerships and creating new relationships. This is also an important step in deciding what coffee we may want on our future menus.
New coffee drop: Our spring seasonal New Moon is back on the menu. (Online now and in cafes this weekend.)
While creating the blend for this year’s New Moon, we wanted to replicate the first breeze of fresh air when the windows are open, complete with fresh blossoms and beams of sunshine. A balanced blend of two familiar coffees, Reko from Ethiopia, and Juan Angel from Honduras, did just the trick.
Experience the terroir of Santa Barbara, Honduras with a menu takeover at all cafe locations. To celebrate the return of Juan Angel, Irvin Izaguirre, and Nelson Moreno to our menu, these three exceptional coffees from El Cedral, Santa Barbara, Honduras will be featured on both brew and espresso menus all weekend long.
