Negative thoughts will come, but we must have a habit of 𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔.
Will you create a habit of looking to Jesus and thinking pure and praiseworthy thoughts?
We will find our mind filled with God’s peace as we look to Jesus and meditate on truths in the Bible.
I was feeling stress and questioning whether I could do everything that was at hand. I entertained negative and defeating thoughts which only led me to feeling stressed and afraid.
God reminded me of Philippians 4:8-9 which says, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
As we practice looking to Jesus and His Word, we are practicing what Philippians 4:8 says because Jesus contains everything that is pure, true, right, and praiseworthy.
Instead of looking to your circumstances, 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀. He is faithful and good. “For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations” (Psalm 100:5).
