It has been a while since I've introduced myself here! And since I did last, there has been a lot of growth, both in my incredible audience and myself ❤️🫶🏼 so let me say hello! I am Lily-Rose, and I am lucky to call myself an artist in the modern world. I am 23 years old, and live with my fiance Tom, and our two cats, Possum and Toast! 🐱 We are currently based in Melbourne, Australia. Besides painting, I adore cooking, exploring beautiful places, reading, playing video games, and crafting bits and bobs. I am obsessed with all things "hot drinks" ☕ After a lot of personal and artistic development, I can finally tell you my mission statement as an artist. I endeavour to explore the concept of memory and nostalgia through the use of colour. The more in touch with myself I get, the more I find myself revisiting moments from my childhood - it has been the most impactful realization of my young adult life, and has brought a lot of intention to my work. As children, we see the world full of colour. I wonder when the moment during our life is that the colour starts to fade... Why do we see things differently as adults? What is it about a young mind that allows so much joy to surround them? Why does my childhood teddy bear seem now like an inanimate object where he once used to host lively tea parties with me? The biggest question is, why should that child-like wonder have to end, and why can't we keep experiencing it? I infuse so much colour into my work to reanimate overlooked everyday items, knick knacks from different times, or food, into something straight out of a memory. To connect a viewer to a moment from their childhood they completely forgot about - drawing funny cats on a newspaper with their grandma; the smell of a hot summer day when they were 7; a conversation over tamagotchis with their friend on the school bus - what is a life without these moments? If a precious life is made up of small moments, I believe we shouldn't have to forget so many. And I hope my work helps you remember some ❤️ 💌 To get exclusive access to upcoming pieces, sign up to my email list at the link in my bio 💌 (Slide 5 photo by @worldofdelirium )

Join me in Costa Rica in November 2024 ✨ As many of you know, in October I hosted an extremely successful and unforgettable group trip in Bali. We painted, and had some incredible cultural experiences. We got an amazing feel for the country and just made unforgettable memories. Naturally, I couldn't stop myself from organising another trip the second I got back. Literally a few days after I returned I was locking details in 😂 I have planned it so far in advance to give you all time - I know paying for something like this is not doable for some people in a short amount of time, so if you are from the USA, you can actually pay this off in instalments that suit you. For anyone else, you can secure your spot on the trip with a 25% deposit and the rest is payable a little bit before the trip happens. Here are the details for the trip: 🏝️ November 2 - 7 2024 🏝️ 8 early bird discounted spots available 🏝️ 20 spots available in total 🏝️ Our activities are: - horseback ride to a magnificent waterfall - stunning scenic hike - bathing in volcano hotsprings - full spa treatment including massages! 🏝️ Price includes accommodation, travel within Costa Rica, our tour guide, some meals, and entry into any activities. 🏝️ That's right! We get a tour guide! (Our guide in Bali was one of the best things about the trip, she was an absolute superstar 😉) 🏝️ There will be a painting workshop with me and plenty of opportunity to reflect and sketchbook together! Travelling with a group is the safest and most secure way to visit another country. At all times you will have the group, myself, and a tour guide who will be able to help with any worries. The tour guide and operating team in Costa Rica will be very knowledgeable and ensure the trip runs smoothly! A lot of the girls who came to Bali came all the way from Canada and the US. They all said it was absolutely worth every cent. I am so glad I have experience hosting a trip so I know what to expect, and I can confidently say that we will forge wonderful friendships and make unforgettable memories - Reserve your spot and peep the itinerary at the link in my bio ❤️❤️❤️❤️

✨ My favourite painting I've ever done ✨ read more below ⤵️ This painting really is my favourite of all the paintings I've painted so far - which is a lot. Not only does it hold my favourite colour combo - blue and orange, but it holds some real sentimental value for me. This painting reminds me of my grandmother, Rose. Nanna Rose is where I got the second half of my first name from ✨♥️ Throughout my whole life, she has always been a wonderful role-model. I have never known kindness from someone the way I've known it from her. I was so lucky to have her living with my family for over 10 years, so I got to spend so much time around her. She always helps everybody, always offers tea to everyone around the house, and offers to make a toasted sandwich at some ridiculous hour of the night, if you want one. She has been so supportive and loving towards me, particularly regarding the step I have taken towards art as a full time career. She sends me texts that are full of love, every week, to check on me - she signs off with a '🌹' emoji 🥹. Every single memory I have of my Nana Rose is a sweet and bright one - when I think of how much I love her I literally get tears in my eyes. When I look at this painting, I picture her at the dining table, eating toast with ridiculous slabs of butter, sometimes with marmalade, sometimes with raisin toast, and a very weak coffee - and sure enough, I get tears in my eyes. For me, this piece gives me that profound feeling that art has the ability to inspire within you - a familiar understanding, an acknowledgement, and the resulting gratitude. If I could give my Nana Rose years off of my life so she could be here in this world for longer, I would without question. My family is so lucky she's still here, and at almost 86 years old, she's looking amazing ♥️ 🌹 #rainbowpainting #rainbowart #stilllifeartist #socialmediaartist #fineartpaintings #smallartbusiness #fulltimeartist #cozyart #colourfulartwork #contemporarystilllife #boldcolours #foodillustrations #paintingoftheday🎨 #paintingchallenge #oilstudy #stilllifeart #stilllifepainting #foodpainting #boldbrush #semirealistic #dailypainter #painterly #colourfulart

My Nanna Rose always makes everyone cups of tea in my family home. Whenever we would have ginger but biscuits, she would always start me off with two and then say, "do you want a few more?". In just a few minutes I would be 6 biscuits in 😂😂 I made this painting because it reminds me of her generosity and the way she spoils us all with love 🫶🏼 When I brought out the fabric for the background I knew I would be on struggle street - i was correct 😂 but just like every other painting with some tedious aspects to it, once it is finished it is ALWAYS worth it. I think the pattern just makes this one, especially the way it interacts with the cup. What do you think? This is painting number 2 in my upcoming collection. I am still debating whether I want to leave it at two paintings or make it three. At the moment I'm considering just two but let's see if I get struck with inspiration to add another! They're all 16 X 16 inches which is a decent size! 💌 Make sure you're on my mailing list to get early exclusive access to this painting when the collection goes live! Always was the art kid, but didn't THINK I was. I thought I was a science girlie! Couldn't have been more wrong in the end about where my heart truly lies. It's so funny looking back now and seeing all the signs... I am so glad I listened to my heart ❤️ The final two pieces shown here will be released in a collection drop! 💌 Make sure you're on my mailing list to get exclusive early access to that! It is baffling to me that I FINALLY finished this. My goodness, what a marathon it was. A marathon I was glad to endure 😄 Painting such details is very meditative to me. Although, I am certainly ready to move onto other ideas! I want to find more people that love colour snapshots into a memory - sipping a tea as the sun shines in, with a couple of gingernut biscuits. People that love the serenity of all the little moments! My nanna Rose always made me cups of tea with some ginger nuts - it would start off as just 2 but would end up being more like 6-7 by the end of the cup, she would keep offering 😂 This piece will be part of a collection drop! 💌 Make sure you're signed up to my mailing list to get exclusive early access to the release!
