Mason Frederick Drake was welcomed to this world during the height of our recent rainstorm Saturday evening. So far, he has seen 4 precipitation types, flooding and high winds. Both baby and mom came home yesterday and are doing well. Warren doesn’t quite grasp he can’t feed the baby pizza and ice cream yet, but he’s been a great big brother. 😂
Oh my goodness, we made it to March! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d make it this far. Every night Warren asks when baby is coming home and we tell him so soon, we’re ready too.
Excited to see which of the March guesses is right!
Maternity leave giveaway time but let’s make it different & a little more fun.
We’ve got a little baby competition going with our families and thought how fun would it be to bring it here. So here’s how this works. Make a guess as to what day Baby makes his appearance. The person to guess the right date or closest to the date will get a free motherhood/family/couples mini once I’m back from maternity leave!
A couple stipulations:
• you must be following @katdrakecreative for your guess to count
• Mini must be used by September 30, 2024
• Mini session can be in home or outdoors, but must be done within the Greater Danbury Area
Some helpful hints for your guess…
1. My due date is March 9th
2. I was 37 weeks when I gave birth to Warren
3. I’ll be 37 weeks as of February 17th
4. I have been mentally ready to go since Valentine’s Day
I officially bought my first new car today! A huge thank you to Adam Dean, expert Mazda salesman and renowned weather photographer extraordinaire, who guided me and my millennial credit through the whole process and made it super easy. Katerina and I are so happy with our black on black CX-50. Despite the weather themed balloons, this car will not be allowed to go storm chasing. 😂
Our first snowstorm of the season arrives today! So many of you have tagged me or sent me a version of this meme over the last few days, so I thought it was only fitting to start our snowstorm day off with a bit of humor... customized for our area.
Great conversation today with Mayor Alves. No forecast changes right now from this morning’s update. A general 4 to 8 inches is expected for #GreaterDanbury . Prepare for the first winter storm of the season - Danbury DPW definitely is. Very impressive operation!
Please excuse our terrible abilities to cut a cake, but we are so excited to finally share Baby Drake with you!
It’s a boy! So excited to continue this journey with boys 💙
Also the biggest thank you to @noonsiebakes for making the best cake ever, we are so grateful for you.

Felt like “winter” this afternoon, but we are still patiently awaiting a real snow scene. For now, we will settle with this awesome backdrop in downtown Bethel. Great tree lighting ceremony this year… so many people! 🎄
