In the contest of
@garygillgaming #amigasunday , I started some weeks ago the showcasing of Amiga arcade ports, starting from great ones, but I advised you, there should have been space also for the bad ones, because we have to not forget that from a great power comes a great responsibility😉...
So, what better way to speaking of bad ports than mentioning Us Gold?? There are a lot of examples, but I decided to start from Turbo Out Run, as a link to
@il_gaio81 #arcadememories , but also because this game was my very first disappointment on my Amiga...
I always been a fan of Out Run franchise, let me say that, speaking about original arcade games, the first Out Run is for me the best, and its sequel isn't at the same level. But when I went to the store with my money achieved during weeks, to buy my first Amiga game (after Batman the movie, that I received as gift together with the computer), when I saw the box of Turbo Out Run I didn't resist. Ok, it wasn't the first Out Run, but was a racing game, my first one on this powerful machine, and got it! When I loaded it I couldn't believe to what I was watching: crapping animation, bad controls, awuful music.... the scrolling was as smooth as a square wheel!!! A terrible port... that I want to share with you for not to forget!!😁😁
Hope you'll appreciate that I've been brave enough to complete the first part of the route...😅
Have a nice Sunday!!!
