I’ve started plans on the cosy living room ☁️🕊️
- I’m going to panel the walls this week myself (I’ll be vlogging it all)
- Painting it a warm colour (or green) not quite sure which yet. Just want to warm this room up, add lots of different textures and make it my favourite room in the house.
- Roman linen blinds to the windows
- Repaint the floorboards to freshen them up
The sofa arrived before Christmas and is from Ikea, I never thought I’d step away from the white sofa because I loved it so much. But it’ll be so much easier to keep clean with the kids and the Blue
I’ve also purchased new wallpaper for Pollyannas bedroom so that will be happening at some point soon too.

It’s like reliving our wedding day all over again. I always knew I wanted a @milkbooks album, they are unlike anything else I’ve seen. With the linen cover and thick pages, it was even better in person. I was so pleased when they wanted to work with me. Part of me wants to have it on the coffee table as a talking point but the other half of me wants to put it away to keep it in perfect condition. What should I do 🫠

Throughout summer anything house related went on hold. But the one thing I was keeping my eye out for was a wooden coffee table to fill this spot in the newly added extension. I had my eye on a Home Barn one but found this one Facebook Marketplace for £40 instead or ‘for now’ 🙈 there is still so much to add to this space alone. A rug, curtains, maybe a new sofa, and all those little finishing touches. I’m also going to try and do a DIY antique frame for the TV.

We may have been back in the house since October but decor wise we still have so much character to add to the rooms. Alfie’s is one I can’t wait to start. His favourite place is the beach so it will be a traditional nautical theme. Im going to add shiplap wall panelling, with rich oak furniture (goodbye bed with slide 😅😅) I can’t wait to fill it with Antique finds.
We hosted our first party over the weekend, it was so lovely to look back at the house and see it filled with family and friends. We still need to find tiles for the splash back, we were going to do brick but I think tiles will add more warmth to what is quite a cool kitchen. Thinking something with an antique feel to them but just can’t find what we want.

It has taken me some time to tackle my first reupholstering item. I’ve always wanted an antique chaise, I saw this on marketplace for free and I couldn’t resist. I somehow can’t find any photos of it before apart from the ones from the listing 🙈 but I’m proud of it. Here’s to many more projects in this home.
Next on the list for this room is a wooden coffee table, sheer blinds for the doors and a jute rug for under the dining table 🫶🏼
