I miss using this page as a journal for things wellness related, back when I started this account in 2015 all I did was write about what was on my mind. I want to get back to that, share my insights, my struggles and what literally moves me. So I‘m making the first step in admitting, that I am overwhelmed at the moment with all the different work projects in yoga and marketing (not a full-time yoga teacher 🙋♀️) and the hours I was putting into literally anything but myself. I am not the best at taking breaks 🙃 But remembering to be gentle towards myself and get back to „just“ 3 yoga classes per week from April on to teach. I‘ll be back with full force ☺️❤️

Lately I‘ve been feeling that I have to prove myself a lot. Prove how bendy, flexy I am, how advanced my asana practice is and of course it is the ego that‘s speaking there. If you‘re off the norm of a stereotypical fit person (whoever defined that) it is so easy to fall into this pattern. Especially as meditation/soft movements don’t get any reach here on IG. But when it’s a splits, natarajasana etc. it’s the complete opposite. 🙃 When in reality you‘re doing so well, you deserve to be where you are & you don‘t have to prove anything to anyone - not even yourself. 🫂

Representation matters. When I grew up, I did not have anyone of my body type in big sports campaigns like this one by @nikewellcollective & @zalando to look up to and to suggest, that my body is beautiful and okay just the way it is. So it really makes me proud to shine in the center amongst the other amazing talents. While everyone is showcasing their discipline it‘s also me right there - showing how yoga really is for every body and how empowered my practice leaves me feeling. 🧡
