I'm Kellie, a 38yo from Brisbane, Australia. I'm passionate about many things, including helping women with hair loss feel confident with or without wigs.
Hairlossboss began when I discovered I had androgenic alopecia and decided to share my experiences on the gram.
I work as a journalist and write about loads of topics including domestic violence, sex and relationships, parenting, women's health, and money.
My son is my greatest achievement, and I'm grateful to have his dad as my other great love.
Here you'll see me mainly share content around hair loss and wearing hair through a feminist lens, along with random bits of my life, and social issues that matter.
Something people don't know about me is that I was asked to leave religion class at age 7 for bringing up evolution, which says a lot about my personality, and my love of facts and truth telling - to a fault sometimes.
Thanks for stopping by.
I recognise the privileges that have allowed me to experience hair loss in a way that feels more positive than negative. Money, access to information and specialist services, a stable home, supportive loved ones - just some of the things that have helped. I know my experience is not everyone's. Yes, you can shift your perspective or reframe your thinking, but that is not always possible or enough on its own. So don't feel badly if you're not there yet.
