March has very much shaped up to be a month full of staycations, thanks to trips to the Cotswolds (@thyme.england ), Hampshire (@heckfield_place ) and back to the Cotswolds again (@cowleymanor ). I love revisiting my favourite hotels on home turf to check whether they’re still just as good as I remembered. Spoiler: they’re better…

Mayfair // An excellent start to the week: a very indulgent lunch at the glitzy Claridge’s Restaurant at @claridgeshotel . Think truffled buckwheat crumpets, decadent desserts (very naughty for a Monday lunchtime), and glittery Art Deco interiors courtesy of @bosstudio ...I wish all Mondays looked like this. London // Too many delicious meals in and around London lately…here are few moments from the past week or so: 1. Lunch with friends at beautiful, bright @dalla.restaurant 2-4. Finally visited @soccabistro , who have just launched their new afternoon tea menu - the interiors (and tea!) are just as glorious as I had hoped 5-6. A delicious lunch at @bubala_london ft the best hummus and crispiest layered potatoes ever 7. Lunch with friends at @luca.restaurant , one of my all-time favourite Italian restaurants in London 8-9. Dinner at @scullyrestaurant - such interesting flavours on the menu! The arepa with eggplant sambal was our favourite 10. A Palestinian feast at @akub.london Reminder that I post chatty, in-depth restaurant reviews (plus hotel tours and vlogs) over on TikTok (my username is the same)… [some ad pr invites] — #GinaEatsLondon

The Cotswolds // Interior porn courtesy of colourful @cowleymanor . In this patch of the country, hotels like this are a rare breed: while there is no shortage of stylish stays to bed down in the Cotswolds, most fall into two camps: super-luxury pads (that come with the 5-star price tag), or rustic country pubs with rooms. If you’re wanting something that’s somewhere inbetween, Cowley Manor Experimental strikes the perfect balance: a palatial pad with historic grandeur but with contemporary, playful interiors and laidback vibe to match. Plus a proper spa (with indoor and outdoor pools!) and a restaurant by acclaimed @jackson_boxer . Stories from my weekend stay are saved in my ‘Cowley Manor’ Highlight. Chelsea // New writing ✍🏼 I’m *very* excited to share the first instalment of ‘SUITE STAYCATION,’ my new monthly column for @citizenfemme , which will see me checking into and reviewing the newest and most noteworthy hotels in the UK! While I love roaming far and wide, those who’ve been following for a while and readers of ‘British Boutique Hotels and ‘London Hotels’ will know that I’ve long been a champion of the great British staycation and love exploring what’s on our doorstep. This month’s column is a rigorous review of @atsloane , a shimmering jewel box located just off Sloane Square: “Expect to be dazzled by the dizzying combination of print and texture that covers each surface, courtesy of design whiz François-Joseph Graf and hotelier Jean-Louis Costes (of Parisian icon Hotel Costes). Priceless trinkets frame every crevice of the hotel, from Greek amphorae to artfully displayed coffee table books, while star-studded black-and-white photographs line the William Morris wallpapered corridors. No detail has been spared in creating this treasure trove of a hotel: discerning guests will note the intricate details, such as Benson lamps, Alice in Wonderland-inspired hidden doors, and checkerboard carpets, all awash in a restrained palette of white, black, and Etruscan red.” Linking the full piece over on Stories…I’d love to hear what you think of it!

The Cotswolds // Can all weekends look like this, please? A little recap of my stay at @cowleymanor , an Italianate mansion nestled in 55 acres of Gloucestershire parkland that was completely overhauled by @experimentalgroup last summer. Inside, interiors are a mix of checkerboard prints, kaleidoscopic colours and playful patterns - very different from the other offerings you’ll find in the area, which tend to be a little more traditional and stuffy. You’ll find a young(ish) crowd sipping cocktails at the @experimentalcocktailclub or snoozing by the pool: think affordable and laidback luxury without any of the unnecessary frills. The Cotswolds // My definition of the perfect spring weekend: bedding down at @cowleymanor (one of my favourite design-led boutique hotels), feasting on hearty pub grub, whooshing along country roads (hot new wheels courtesy of @bmwuk ), and afternoons spent winding down at the spa back at the hotel…sharing lots more over on Stories. Hampshire // Pretty places to sit at @heckfield_place …a hotel I’ll always dream of returning to (Stories from my stay here a couple of weeks ago are Highlighted on my profile, in case you missed them). Currently counting down the hours until the weekend, when I’ll be escaping to one of my favourite corners of the UK… — #heckfieldplace #GinaGoesToHampshire

London // Been back in London for a week or so, and here’s where and what I’ve been eating recently: 1-5. Lunch at @dalla.restaurant , a very stylish new addition in Hackney, where the pasta and the interiors very much hit 🤌🏼 6. Pastries at @toklas_bakery , one of my favourite bakeries in central London (adjoining restaurant @toklas_london is also one of my all-time favourite spots). Go get the sticky cinnamon bun and thank me later! 7-9. Dinner at The Fuji Grill at @beaverbrooktownhouse , which I think might be @sloanestreetsw1 ’s best kept secret…I’m a big fan of this colourful, Nicola Harding-designed boutique hotel (it features in ‘London Hotels’, of course), and the sushi is excellent too. 10. Finally visited @kolae_london , which I’ve been wanting to try for ages. Everything was so tasty (especially that chicken skewer!) but also *spicy* - you have been warned… [some pr invites] — #GinaEatsLondon
