The first step to buying more ethical and sustainable clothing is asking questions. Here are the ones we suggest you pose to brands before you give them your hard earned money — because we all deserve to dress ourselves in line with our values and our respect for life on this planet. 🌎 Read more of our questions, the answers you might get, and why we think they’re important in our new article — find it through the link in our bio or at collectivefashionjustice.org/articles/questions-to-ask-brands-before-supporting-them . . . . . #WhoMadeMyClothes #EthicalFashion #SustainableFashion #TotalEthicsFashion #SlowFashion #ConsciousFashion #FashionRevolution #FashionBlogger #Style #SustainableStyle #ConsciousConsumer #AnimalRights #Sustainability #HumanRights

‘Sustainable’ and ‘ethical’ fashion are often talked about as though they are two separate things. We don’t believe that. 💭 Read on to learn more about the importance of what we call ‘total ethics fashion’ — more on our website, too: collectivefashionjustice.org/total-ethics-fashion

Don’t you think it’s time we work with nature, not against it?

@Adidas policies say they shouldn’t use kangaroo skin leather — but they do it anyway. Head to the link in our bio to tell them what you think, and tag @Adidas and your local Adidas account below.

How do we address all of the issues that come with the fashion industry? Many of us think of just the climate aspect or the social aspect, but these are not independent issues. @hakamme , founder of @collectivefashionjustice , has a holistic solution to aim for. Slaughterhouse workers are fashion supply chain workers behind leather, feather down, even wool and cashmere when those animals are no longer profitable alive. No one wants to work in a slaughterhouse. So vulnerable people are made to do it. We can create a future fashion industry where we would be proud and excited to see how our clothes are made, not distressed and disturbed. If you want to see that world, sign our total ethics fashion manifesto through our bio link, and learn more about this issue at collectivefashionjustice.org/slaughterhouse-workers

BREAKING: @CPHFW just banned wild animal skins and feathers, making the shows totally free from all wild animal exploitation! In 2023, the progressive Danish fashion show banned fur, and following our engagement, this policy has now been extended to protect all wild animals. This is a major win worth celebrating. But we won’t stop until every fashion week event around the world has protected wild animals, too.

@MaterialInnovation ’s new report has positive news for people, animals and the planet. Contact a brand you love and ask them what they’re doing to invest in and move towards using next-gen materials replacing animals and fossil fuel inputs.

@RemakeOurWorld ’s new Fashion Accountability Report is out and it’s absolutely worth a read 📖 We thought this graph from the report summarised the wealth inequality of the fashion industry perfectly. It’s not that brands can’t pay living wages. They choose not to prioritise doing so. And that is an injustice. Learn more by reading the report, or get the rundown on garment worker issues in fashion at collectivefashionjustice.org/garment-workers
