When Jaxon was an infant, he needed specialized care, and @nicklaus4kids , a member hospital of @cmnhospitals , provided expertise and support. Your donations made it possible for Jaxon to have a vital eight-hour surgery at the incredible Nicklaus Children’s Brain Institute when he was only seven months old. He faced other challenges too, like an extremely rare genetic mutation in CDK13.
With the support of medical specialists, Jaxon had access to therapies that helped him move, talk, and learn. Today, he is a happy and strong kid who continues to visit Nicklaus Children’s for continued care. #changekidshealth
❤️ Last year, #HeartWarrior Jack was born with a congenital heart defect in which a part of the body’s largest artery (aorta) is narrower than usual, along with multiple holes in his heart. He had heart surgery at just two weeks old. Thanks to the incredible heart and cardiovascular ICU team at our member hospital, @wolfsonchildren , Jack is now five months old and thriving! A summer pool day turned into a life-threatening experience when Jackson had a seizure and nearly drowned. His life was saved by the quick action of lifeguards, an off-duty nurse, and expert care at @wvumedicinechildrens supported by @cmnhospitals donations.
When he faced a pneumonia complication, Jackson received round-the-clock care coupled with the support of Child Life specialists and pet therapy, and he made a remarkable recovery! #changekidshealth
