No life matters until black lives matter. #BlackoutTuesday#BlackOut
And my dear Caucasian friends, this is the time for you to shut the fuck up and get on the right side of history. If you aren’t going to say anything useful or constructive, zip and park it.
Being away from my mother is hard. The second best part about being together, after being together, is cooking together. We have some of the best talks at the kitchen. This has got to be my favorite dish I grew up eating at home. -Uzbek-style Lagman.
The word Lagman originated from God knows where “let’s not get into who invented it first.” But it is the direct translation to Lo Mein in Chinese, Ramen in both Chinese and Japanese, Lamian in Korean, and others. It is represented on each region differently just as how fried rice is represented; Bokkeumbap in Korea, Biryani in Southern and Southwest Asia, Pulao in Central Asia, and others.
I love you, Mama.
